Hi Skall, I just want to let you know you have inspired me to join a local HEMA club. Thank you , I’ve always been intrigued by history and historical combat. Your channel is a wealth of information.
I really don't understand why your videos aren't getting the same traffic. The quality on them hasn't dropped, you're still getting tons of likes and comments from dedicated watchers. I'm sorry TH-cam isn't promoting your stuff anymore. Your content is still awesome
Yeah, I don't know either why the algorithm seems to be actively trying to kill off my channel or something. Maybe refusing to do clickbait really just gets punished that much.
I have to object to assigning the 7.62x39mm cartridge the blanket description of, "armor piercing rifle ammunition." I concede that if the specific ammunition used had steel cores, like those found in Norinco yellow box, it could be considered armor piercing. However, most of the 7.62x39 available in the market today is going to be 122 grain lead core FMJ which is assuredly not armor piercing. Other than that I enjoyed the video; You have a very nice collection!
Thanks for the video as always! Your answer to the question at the end is spot on. I've had multiple collections of various items in my life which I was very fond of. The first was a firearm collection. There were some very rare pieces I would have said at one point in my life, I will never sell. Things change when someone you love gets very sick and you need cash. I wish I still had many of these and while I may think of them from time to time, I will never regret doing what I had to. Our bellies are a little bigger and our hair a little grayer, but she is still with me, so I made the right call.
The Windlass katana/longsword hybrid is intended to look Sci-Fi as it was produced at the time of the Star Wars prequels & was part of a series that too inspiration from such. In the series there were some outfits including footwear, a short double edged sword to act as sort of a wakizashi, a short gladius inspired weapon & and a short pole arm that sort of resembled a partisan that were intended for the bad guy minions. My father is a blacksmith and I’m currently getting into it, too. So far my father has made about 50 swords, 23 of them being in our house. I’m very proud to be his son and follow in his footsteps.

Get a practice basket hilt broadsword from castille/armour class. You would fall in love with it trust me.
