All of a sudden My iphone stopped connecting to the Wi-Fi I regularly use but others were easily able to connect through their iphones. I had done the reset network setting and boom it worked. Thanks for this great video

If nothing helps and you’re reading the comments for help, try turning off or deleting your VPN configuration ( or if you don’t have any download one to your phone). My problem was that one of the configuration kept turning on and off constantly and when I deleted it my wifi worked fine.

One major point to make here is also, "Do I really need to connect to a strange wifi hotspot that, 9 times out of 10, have lowest security level?". Plus a lot of times security is turned off completely.
All cell carriers offer data plans, and unlimited is usually worth the extra 20 to 40 bucks a month.
Again, a lot of people think that if there's wifi, they need to connect to it. This is completely wrong, especially if you have an unlimited data plan. When wifi is off your phone works as it should (hopefully), using your cell carriers data plan. This is usually better than connecting to strange WiFi networks that usually have very low security.
I only turn on my wifi if I need to upload or download massive file(s), or I know I'm going to be streaming.

You forgot to try turning your VPN off and try connecting. This worked for me above all your suggestions. Then I switched the VPN back on and all is well again😀.
Apple‘s built-in VPN is affecting many of phones as soon as I went onto my Nord VPN my Wi-Fi came back right away

@@ShizukaOG I’m really not sure but so many people have been affected by the built-in VPN it turns on and off by itself so then you can’t use your Internet when it’s turning on and off obviously so it’s best to get your own personal VPN and use that and you won’t have any issues. Well I fixed mine that way.

I had somehow paused my iphone from my wifi. Called xfinity, they couldn't fix it. Tried all the usual things first. Found this and it fixed my problem by resetting my network. Thank you!
Is it generally good to ‘shut down’ phones, and iPads, weekly, to anticipate and ameliorate, many of these issues (you may have another vid on this)?

I have a problem. My iPhone connects to my wifi as does my computer, but non of my apps will open. I get a "Uploading" message on some of the apps, while others just keep buffering.
Now my storage is nearly full to the max with, but I never had that problem before other than the occasional app shutting down.
Can you tell me what I can do to get my apps to open?

thank you so much, not sure if it's going to work (waiting for my phone to update which is strange since it acts like it has no wifi yet can update?) my data and wifi are not connecting, they connect for literally a second then disappear at the top right corner. It was all working when i went to sleep but now... nothing? super frustrating. PS my computer and all other device work fine on my wifi network so I'm really at a lost.

How does one update an iphone when you cant connect to wifi... You guys really didn't think that through huh
I've been having to do the first option...turning wifi off/ then on, and it fixes the problem until the next time I don't use my iPhone for a while, it then reappears again. I did just reset my network settings 5 minutes ago, so it will take some time to see if that has done it, 'but' my iMac has been having a similar issue. Having had this problem off and on for some time, I took my router-modem in, and was given a new one...and I'm still having the issue, so it's doubtful it's the router-modem I believe. Unsure how to reset my network settings on my iMac, but I'll certainly give that a try! I did just do an IOS update this morning...so that shouldn't be it, plus my wife's iPhone is having the same issue, and can be very frustrating.

Your router is probably using WEP as it’s form of password security which is very old and outdated. You or your ISP will need to log into your router and change it to “WPA2” or “WPA2 Personal” which is the modern standard of wifi password security.

Im my house my Verizon wireless only gets 1 o 2 bars and always drops calls, doesn’t receive incoming calls, and out of the blue I will get a voicemail but my phone never rang. I asked my neighbors, and they have the same poor cellular connection regardless of the carrier. My question: I turned on WiFi calling and my phone shows VZW WI-FI, but I still drop calls and do not get calls with them going directly to voicemail. Any help or ideas? I have xFinity hi speed internet (we pay extra for the boost or enhanced speed) and have no issues ever with the connection when using our computers, iPads, etc. Ps. I have a iPhone 11 Pro Max. Any help would be much appreciated. 🙏🏼

I hope you can read this comment, but my problem is that when locked i think wifi sleeps on my iphone xs max and i do not get notifications from my messaging apps even if refresh in the background is on. I've had this problem with my iPhone since last summer. It started about two weeks after an iOS update so I can't blame that. It says it's connected but does it not show it in the status bar and cellular now ONLY connects with LTE. It used to spend most of the time on 4G.
Several apps say there's simply no connection. Others still work, apparently satisfied with LTE cellular data.
Apple support forum has several people with older and new iPhones with the same problem.
The solution we get from Apple is to 'reset network settings.' This has helped some people but not me and not a lot of the others. I hoped the update to iOS 14 might help, but it didn't.
This is a jet black iPhone 7 so I'm ready to upgrade. I hope THAT will solve the problem.

I Had a problem where I would restart my iPhone it would connect to my wifi for a few seconds then it wouldn't show up I figured out it was a VPN issue so I removed that VPN and it was all good. And that VPN was for a survey app to get more or something and it was always connecting and disconnecting in settings
Just had an app refuse to download because it requires 14.7 or newer, when I have 15.1
Tried again and it said I need wifi.
Didn’t realize it wasn’t auto connecting, but now I can’t connect at all.
But how will I download an update if it only allows you to do it via Wifi?
why iphone 13 pro doesn't pick up wi-fi signal well? planned obsolescence? My AWM Fritz has no problem. My problem is that I continue to update ios but wi-fi worked fine before updates...
About the same time I did the “ turn off these 7 settings on your iPhone “. But none of those seem to be anything to do with sending pic to an android. My daughter and husband can send to those same Android users but not me!!

I was not seeing the Wi-Fi icon in the status bar, and could not connect to the App Store--in watching your video, I was reminded that I had just activated a VPN earlier today for the first time. Deleted it, and problem solved.
