This was maybe one of my favorite #Break75 videos this year, I really enjoyed watching the front 9 holes but i also appreciated that, despite several difficult holes back-to-back, you were able to maintain a positive attitude and good vibes. Great video, great golf!
Rick the best golf ive seen you play in ages brilliant and almost an hole in 1. The slice across the green was just a bad shot and the bunker and a plugged ball was so difficult but you played really well loved it,
Well played Rick, golf always amazes me. Still can’t believe you didn’t chip out sideways on the 18th, we’ve all done it in the heat of the moment we make bad decisions when watching it at home I was literally shouting at the phone “take your medicine” also shows how a break in concentration and momentum can make you lose your rhythm. You were literally on fire 🔥 until the halfway house. Again I’ve been there so many times but watching someone do it on film gives it more impact and will make me more aware of my decisions in future rounds
Love it. Well played! Ant & Dec. Bert & Ernie. Tiger & Phil. Rick & Guy!! With Finch doing Open Quali you and Guy should bring back the Golfbidder challenge!!!
Don't get me wrong I love the format of these, but every once in a while a course vlog style break 75 with you and Guy would be awesome! I am personally fond of Guy and think he brings a lot to the channel and (if he wants) deserves more camera time! Cheers
Rick, your recovery game on the last 5 holes (ignoring the first bunker shot on 18) was absolutely brilliant. Watching your videos have made me a much better player and I’m sure it’s done the same for many other golfers.Keep up the good work!
Love these break 75 videos literally the best golf content on TH-cam. Can’t be downhearted by that Rick that’s an absolutely outstanding score round that course ! What I love about these is it shows real golf, you’re a decent player but even you have bad holes ! It’s a tough sport but one we all love and even though it drives you crazy, most of the time it gives you the best feelings ever. Look forward to the next one #break75

Been getting into golf here at 23 years old been trying to go on weekends as much as I can just need to get my own clubs tired of borrowing clubs from the course but I couldn't tell you how many of your videos have helped me improve my game by far my favorite person to watch on TH-cam keep it up brother
After the first 11 holes I was like “I’m so excited to get out and play some golf!” After the end I thought “mmm, maybe I’ll just go to the range for a bit.”
Your putting is much better this week and your bunker game is solid. Magnificent course. Home of one of the great Rick-Carter-Pete matches: one of my favorite all time vlogs.
The difference in Rick's attitude from the first couple of episodes compared to the last 2 episodes is night and day. Love to see him take the good with the bad and simply enjoy the game of golf.
Great start to that one Rick. Like others have said, it was great to see the improvements and confidence as your season progresses. Wheels came off a bit after the halfway house but that's golf. Riding high then tumbling low. Happy to see you break even
After the front 9 I was rooting for you to shoot your best score, I definitely think the break in play changed the tide of your game. It's coming together though, the extra practicing is paying off.
The editing was spectacular on this video, kudos to your guy Rick. He's doing good work. I tried to write a review raving about Jane on the golf clubs page but I wasn't able to leave a review!

The wrists being bent, keep swing in front of the body and shoulder before knee. Furthermore we all like bottoms but don't bottom out to soon or late 😄 . Now I'm out swinging my local PGA pros, or at least one of them..😁 Thank you!

Rick, nice job. Production of these videos is getting better and better. Should have went out sideways out of that bunker on 18 when you only needed a bogey to break 75. You have talked in your videos before about not compounding your mistakes and that is what you did there. Looking forward to your next Break 75!
Well Rick you have inspired me. An old friend and avid golfer was visiting Banff on business and I invited him to 18 holes at Brewsters Kananaskis golf course near Canmore, Alberta. This is my first round for at least five years and my first full 18 for a few years longer than that. So I dug my rusty Powerbilt Fuzzy Zoeller set with my $65 Spalding Titantium driver out of the garage (anyone seen my golf shoes?) and proceeded on what promised to be a rainy day down the TransCanada highway to the course. Now this course is full of narrow fairways with gorse and pines on either side, very small greens and because this course is where it is, bears are a legitimate hazard. Fortunately for us both the rain and Paddington's evil big brothers stayed away that day and we were treated to a brilliant walk through mountain vistas in a lovely 20 degree day. The player's hint for this course is bring plenty of used balls, because you're going to be missing a few by the time you are done. If you are lucky like us, you might find a few more than you lose. The course forgives the short-but-accurate player and mercilessly punishes anyone else. So how did I do? I shot a 120...which I was actually happy with. Okay so Tiger has nothing to fear from me but that really wasn't the point. I was able to spend a brilliant day with an old friend in beautiful surroundings playing the game that he loved and I was renewing my passion for. So yeah, I've ordered a new set of clubs (cheaper entry level but still offering me a +1 length for my 6'3" altitude and a stiff shaft that I can develop some club head speed into), planning a Costco trip for some of those cheap but decent balls ( after I use up the balls I found at Brewsters) and waylaying my 30 year-old youngest to come spend time on the links with dear old Dad. And this is all your fault, Rick. If I hadn't watched your videos I would still be spending my Saturdays watching Stranger Things and slowly moldering on the couch. You twat! Look what you've done!😁
Love Royal Lytham, had the privilege of playing twice, both off the tips. Tough track and very unforgiving. I got goosebumps stood on the 18th looking down to the clubhouse. That is the great thing with golf is that you can tip up at such iconic venue for a knock, which cannot be said in any other sport. Your video editing sets the bar for the rest of us.
The cinematic quality of your videos are really entertaining Rick, even if you don't like or play golf I could see people enjoying these. Love to see it pal.
Love Lytham. Watched Monty warm up on the practice round probably twenty five years ago or thereabouts . Stunning. John Daly alongside. His caddy (early in the morning) wandered off and got two huge hamburgers. I assumed one each but, no. Two for the incredible Daly. Both hit the ball bloody miles.
Rick, thanks for keeping your teaching techniques simple and to the point. You’ve helped me learn so much, and I’m enjoying the game more because of it. Thanks again.
I dont know where to start with Rick, i used to play golf (very badly) 6 years ago. Had all the gear and very little idea. Had to work nights and gave up the game. Recently started working days again and suddenly came across Ricks videos. Now without even picking up a club, the videos instantly made me want to take it up again, so i did! Borrowing some clubs from a friend 2 weeks ago, using the tips from Rick and in the two rounds that i have had on a 9 hole, i have gone from scoring 53 down to 45 in just 2 games. My driving on the range has significantly improved and after 2 games i am a better golfer now than i have ever been. I have gone out and bought some cheapy irons and have to say after taking them on the range last night i am pleasantly suprised not only with the clubs but with myself, as i say, i am a much better golfer now than i ever was and that is all down to Ricks videos so thank you!
Good golf shots no matter the skill level feel so amazing and such a confidence boost. They keep you coming back! Thanks for the content Rick. Can’t wait for the break 70 series, because you’re playing some great golf. keep it up! 👏🏼
One of my favourite courses ever, played it 10 years ago, I certainly didn't break 75, maybe low 80s. But hole in one with a perfect 6 iron on 12 will never be forgotten.
Rick, this was a great video. I watched your very first video again the other day. It was a cool thing to go back to and check out. I have been watching you for years and your channel is the best out here. There are quite a few good English guys with channels but yours is top notch. This is on par (pun intended) with any professional network now. Your camera folks, editors, chefs kiss. This is perfection. Great round mate. Firstly Rick and Guy. Both looking Trim. The running and new haircut really working 😉 One of my favourite Break 75 episodes. Just good vibes between you both and looked like a gorgeous day! Keep it up!
I ran with your idea of a steel shafted driving iron (3-iron), and I've got to say love how it performed. I can see why you put it in there especially for the level of forgiveness it carries. Even off centered strikes was very forgiving.
Great round Rick!!! 75 at a championships course is meeting the demands of the designer. I know you don't need bucking up but i can't name one person who wouldn't love to walk of that course with that score. Love love love this series. 💯👍
I've noticed if I have a break on the 9th I can play rubbish after. It must be cooling down to much or something. Your putting is amazing. Saved you so many times. Thanks
Rick, love these videos! Would love to see a video like this- break 75/80/85 - you plus a high handicap golfer (Bad Golf?- you’ve done stuff before) alternate shots. The amount of good tips a high handicapper could get from a video like that would be awesome, as well as being entertaining for us!
Right when I first started playing when I was 13-14 met an old man on the course that taught me what he deemed the 7 iron chip, for that small gap where you need some back spin over a small rut up onto the green. Used it all the time in my school tourney days and always got the weirdest looks but snagged many eagle and birdies with it. One of my favorite plays

Wow, the production in this really is amazing - great work from you and the team, Rick!!
I've been binging all your vids for the last month or two. Wish I discovered you sooner. My game is slowly improving, thanks Rick.
@12:46 .on #10.. 2 under!!!! I am sooo rooting for you sir. You are putting so much better than a few weeks ago. :)
Last two break 75s have been brilliant , content is great and the production is so professional. Keep it up guys
Playin out of your mind right now Rick. Awesome to watch. Sure it feels great! Good work!!!
Good golf shots no matter the skill level feel so amazing and such a confidence boost. They keep you coming back! Thanks for the content Rick. Can’t wait for the break 70 series, because you’re playing some great golf. keep it up! 👏🏼
Great video as ever. Pity you didn’t mention Georgia Hall winning 2018 women’s Open at Lytham too
These are getting better and better. Love having Guy there.
One of my favourite courses ever, played it 10 years ago, I certainly didn't break 75, maybe low 80s. But hole in one with a perfect 6 iron on 12 will never be forgotten.
Love to see some more from Guy. Nice good analytical thinking around the course. Well played fellas
Rick Shiels is So Pure
Great video. Had me glued to the screen. Would love to see more of Guy’s shots as well.
Thanks for the tips from Virginia Beach, VA in the good ole USA. BACK TO BACK world wars champs. Lol. 🇺🇸
Best camera work I’ve seen on any of your vids. Congratulations to your team
Well done Rick! You did an outstanding job taking the punches the course gave you and not letting it knock you out. 👏👏
Well done Rick. What a super series. However I am impressed by the charity awareness walk that you are doing. Well done 👍👏
You two are both looking great! All those miles are paying off. Great camera 🎥 work!
Great opening 9. Back side? Well...how about a break 80 with Guy? Thanks for the video mates. 🍻✌🏻⛳
Love watching these. I am taking so many tips from them and it is helping my game so much.
Don't wann come of as a fanboy here but I've never once had an interest in golf but absolutely enjoy these videos watched near enough all of them in past couple month and went to play for first time other day passion for the game is growing well and truly got me into golf from nowhere with the passion you speak about the game excellent Channel and great entertainment cheers Rick
Loved the wink at the camera on the range at the beginning. Class.
Production team are knocking this out of the park!
Great video guys.
So much fun seeing you play well... as much as you playing poorly made you relatable, seeing you play bad and play well makes it so much more fun
Firstly Rick and Guy. Both looking Trim. The running and new haircut really working 😉
One of my favourite Break 75 episodes. Just good vibes between you both and looked like a gorgeous day!
Keep it up!
I’m a newer golfer but getting pretty good rather quickly thanks to your videos. These thpes of videos are more entertaining than PGA to me honestly.
Rick is coming back boys and girls. Great golf guys.
Rick is having fun again, loving it. Great round
Watching this Saturday arvo! Lovely 18 degrees.
Cheers from Adelaide, Australia
Right when I first started playing when I was 13-14 met an old man on the course that taught me what he deemed the 7 iron chip, for that small gap where you need some back spin over a small rut up onto the green. Used it all the time in my school tourney days and always got the weirdest looks but snagged many eagle and birdies with it. One of my favorite plays
Rick is simply golfing his ball and it’s amazing
Well done Rick! Great to see you find some form - hopefully it continues
Love the context Rick, keep it up! Watched you start your journey the other day at prestwick!
What a beautiful course on a beautiful day. Great round!
