While I don't presently own, and am not in the market for a bass in the immediate future, I plan to add one in a few months. I'm interested in learning all I can from content like you have presented in this video so if I happen to run across the "right one" or a "good deal," I'll know enough to not walk away from it. This is exactly the kind of informative video that will assist me. I hope you can find a way to give us more content like this. I appreciate your work. Thanks, Max.
Shredding, Tapping, and Slapping for the New Year?. I'm here for it! Thanks for all the excellent content and reviews. Best Wishes into the New Year. Rock On Max \m/.
Definitely do more bass stuff, Max. Love to see you explore more AIO models also. You aren't bad for someone that doesn't do it on a routine basis either.
I'm a guitarist who dabbles with bass; so Max, I definitely get what you intended to convey. I also have an AIO JB4 in natural (subtle flame maple w/matching headstock), and a Gretsch G2220 (short scale) in walnut. I'm very impressed with the AIO JB4 and tend to reach for it far more often than the shorter scale Gretsch. There is a difference in tone that I can readily perceive, although the short scale bass is somewhat easier to play. You might want to invest in a (modest) quality bass amp (think something like a Fender Rumble 40) to more fully appreciate what that AIO JB4 can really do (your site viewers could hear your bass tones better, as well).
Sorry I wasnt paying more attention but this just popped up on my feed Max. As primarily a Bassist myself (to say I'm a guitarist would no doubt be a stretch) I love the idea of you doing bass content. That new AIO is damn pretty for sure, and sounds like a bass should. I'd like to hear more mix type info too.
I started back playing bass on a Glarry GIB 4 string during the pandemic, after 20 years. Watching and listening to musician, Aram Bedrosian, got me interested in trying bass again.
The AIO basses are very nice especially for their cost and the company seems to be good! As a guitar player turned bass player I’d love to see more of the bass content!
I play guitar, but I've been thinking about getting an affordable short-scale bass and learning enough to add some basic bass lines to backing tracks and other recordings. I would prefer something in the 30 inch scale length for personal comfort. The one you demo'ed looks great and sounds good to me and is affordable as well.
Nice to see the HORIZONS ever expanding! Earlier this year you had done a video on that Jackson V you got second hand. I’d love to see a video diving into what to look for on used guitars. Heck you could do a mini series covering different approaches, like finding beat up well specked guitars, part harvesting (my favorite category), and so many other niche markets that yield great finds. And as always I’m waiting for the next positive metal outlook. Hope you had a merry Christmas and have a happy new year! Can’t wait to get 2021 in the rear view. I’ll probably rip the mirror off the windshield so I can just forget it ever even happened…
As a bass player that really tends to dismiss most import and starter instruments as being just not as solid and tonally-versatile as mid-level basses, I have to admit this sounded solid and it's apparently pretty well built...appears to be a good option at not too much money. The bridge appears to be a little slight, but that could be upgraded for forty dollars.
I bought an AIO Wolf PRS style guitar earlier this year and have been recording music with it. Can't recommend them enough. I am making due with my old cheap Yamaha bass right now for recording bass lines but if I ever decide to upgrade I'd probably get another AIO/wolf.
First off, Max, congrats on your bass review video! Second, one core technique you (and I!) need to master is muting unwanted strings. It's more difficult AND more important than with a guitar. Third, I personally recommend a short-scale bass for guitarists looking to stretch out to bass. I have a Glarry GP II bass that I bought earlier this year, but found it PAINFUL to play. (The fault is certainly mine; I haven't played bass in decades.) For this reason, I also bought an Ibanez MiKro four-string to help bridge the gap. A setup would undoubtedly help both axes, but at least I can play the MiKro without pain! One suggestion for more bass videos would be for you to check out and review online (TH-cam) courses teaching bass to guitarists. There must be some, but I keep forgetting to look for them! There's one idea for you and I hope you like it. Rock on, bro!🤘‼️
Would love for you to do some walking bass lines then show us how you leaned them. Maybe talk about the different types of 4 string basses. More basses for sure. Thanks Max.
I would have to agree with the comments I have read so far. Thats a nice looking bass for sure. I'm a guitarist but I'm always up for bass reviews. I used to have a p bass. I plan on making my own in the future but I'm always looking for wiring ideas. Tone is king!!
I have the pbass version of this bass and is amazing. Love the tone, the weight and the feel of neck when I playing. The only thing I don’t like is the bass came with a little sharpie mark under the finish close to the input. 🤷🏻♂️
Since I'm a bassist, I would like to see more of you on this. I would have loved to see the AIO PB4 Bass - Trans Red in the test ... but maybe it will come later ;)
They definitely took inspiration from the Aerodyne bass, it's definitely a better body design! would love to see you recommend best budget basses for the budget as well!
Not bad at all, Max, but it has a way to go before it touches my 1977 Fender Tele bass that I upgraded with a HSS design using the neck bucker, and 2 jazz pups. LOL Great video!!
Good review! Keep up the good work. Sure mix in some bass reviews. And probably best to stay in the begginer to intermediate level/range. And then show few bass and amp combo reviews, ie pick a bass and amp to demo together.
That’s a nice looking bass, and decent playing for demo purposes! Lol it did the job,I’m in the same boat of practicing bass while being a guitar player
Very nice looking bass. Personally I would at least want to upgrade that bridge to something a bit more chunky (I always hated the Fender bass bridge designs - obviously just the cheapest design they could get away with). Personally I prefer humbuckers in my basses so I would look to upgrade the pickups as well but that is just my taste. If you want to go that way I would look towards getting stacked pickups which you can get from many brands.
Now, get a bass player buddy to work with you on bass and do a special show with the two of you, I think guitar players want to hear how base players think. Unlike drummers who are crazy, bass players usually have something intelligent to say....ha.. Good stuff Max, we need to know about bass. Make a bass intro course easy for guitarist....
Absolutely, as a bass player whos recently fallen in love with guitar playing I can tell you bassists love a bargain. More reviews on the wallet friendly guitars and basses please.
It look's like a nice instrument. Bass for me is something i need around for recording purpose's, so I don't have dozens of them like guitar's. That's exactly WHY your video is as helpful as it is enjoyable. Seeing a Bass that work's well at a fair price is useful to those of us that can't afford dozens of them and just need one to do the job. Thanks!
That’s a nice looking bass. I like the finish and the sound quality is awesome. If you want to check out some other basses, check out yamaha. They make phenomenal bass guitars. The bb and trbx models are definitely worth checking out.
It does look great but not sure about the sound. Picky, I know. I would like to see more bass reviews and demos. Please include some short scale basses. As a guitar player you might appreciate those. Some that come to mind are the Nordie Cat, G & L Fallout Tribute, and the Epiphone Alan Woody Rumblecat. Thanks as always for your thoughtful comments.
As a bass player (also play guitar) I find it entertaining to watch you play bass. As good as you are on guitar I thought you would be better at bass lol. No offense meant btw, its just that your guitar level far exceeds your bass level.
Great looking bass and yes I'd love to see you review more bass guitars please.
Will do!
I already got one of these before you made the video, and WOW I love this thing. Its currently my #1 and I never plan on replacing it
Looks great and sounds great as well! As a guitar player who converted to bass, I'm all for more bass content!!
You rarely see binding on jazz basses and I dig it
I dig it! More basses please 😊
You got it!
That's a real beauty!
While I don't presently own, and am not in the market for a bass in the immediate future, I plan to add one in a few months. Impressive to see a bass with an ebony fretboard. Makes the neck so fast.
Yes! More bass stuff. Please! From an ex guitarist who has switched to bass.
Shredding, Tapping, and Slapping for the New Year?. I'm here for it!
Thanks for all the excellent content and reviews. Best Wishes into the New Year.
Rock On Max \m/.
Rock on!
Definitely do more bass stuff, Max. Love to see you explore more AIO models also. You aren't bad for someone that doesn't do it on a routine basis either.
Thanks! Will do!
For sure, Max. Eventually, it would be great if you got around to some of the neck through models.
I'm a guitarist who dabbles with bass; so Max, I definitely get what you intended to convey. If you do more bass content you going to take it out of the park!
Is Max playing smooth jazz?! GuitarMAXWELL?
All the power is in the hair! Rock on Max, Rock on!🤘😝🤘
Not first! I can’t wait for the first video of the new year. The race is on.
Love the new content!!!
I’ve been a bassist for over 45 years AND long term subscriber,
So really digging this.
Even the crazy 5 string fretless basses that AIO makes are still under $500. They're really great instruments. I'm glad you turned me on to AIO.
I started back playing bass on a Glarry GIB 4 string during the pandemic, after 20 years. Watching and listening to musician, Aram Bedrosian, got me interested in trying bass again.
Way to go max, and finger picking too, very good!
Love the mood of the opening music. I'm talkin' 'bout Shaft, baby.
The AIO basses are very nice especially for their cost and the company seems to be good!
As a guitar player turned bass player I’d love to see more of the bass content!

Oh man love a Jazz bass shape.
I like that one, and yes!!! More bass please. A lot more. Maybe some unboxing and demos

AIO just keeps bringing the goods.
I like the idea of more bass content. I'm a guitar player, but am branching out due to necessity.
I've seen this on reverb a few times and never noticed it's more offset body shape compared to a fender/squire j-bass. Solid playing.
Can you review an Ltd 87 series surveyor, Jackson Kelly bass, or a dean metal man next?
You should review the B.C. Rich Ironbird bass
As a bass player that really tends to dismiss most import and starter instruments as being just not as solid and tonally-versatile as mid-level basses, I have to admit this sounded solid and it's apparently pretty well built...appears to be a good option at not too much money. Awesome bass. Happy to see some 4 string love!
I definitely want to see more bass content! Now let's see you sweep pick it.
I bought an AIO Wolf PRS style guitar earlier this year and have been recording music with it. Can't recommend them enough. I am making due with my old cheap Yamaha bass right now for recording bass lines but if I ever decide to upgrade I'd probably get another AIO/wolf.
That thing is gorgeous
Good looking and sounding J-bass! Please provide more bass vids!
Beautiful Bass!!!❤️👍 Fantastic tone!!!

Bought a 5 string wolf. Kinda wish I’d gotten a 4 string but it’s still wonderful
Nice dude! This bass sounds really cool!
Glad you like it!

Hope you’re not joking about learning some slappa da bass! That would be fantastic!
I have the pbass version of this bass and is amazing. Love the tone, the weight and the feel of neck when I playing. The only thing I don’t like is the bass came with a little sharpie mark under the finish close to the input. 🤷🏻♂️
Fantastic Instrument!
Indeed it is!
I've been bouncing between bass and guitar for the last thirty years, so more bass content is most assuredly welcome.
Love the bass. Please more bass items. My daughter is a bass player 1st. Guitar player 2nd.
Hey Max, I'd like to see you "Thump the Funk" on that bass guitar like Larry Graham does. Whatcha Ya Say?
Max,
First time I've seen you play a bass on your show 👍
Nice review, seems like a great bass. As a guitarist, you might want to demo some 30”-scale basses.
Yes please...
Yes, bass stuff!
Not bad at all, Max, but it has a way to go before it touches my 1977 Fender Tele bass that I upgraded with a HSS design using the neck bucker, and 2 jazz pups. LOL Great video!!

Damn that’s a good looking bass.
That’s a nice looking bass, and decent playing for demo purposes! Lol it did the job,I’m in the same boat of practicing bass while being a guitar player
jazz bass looks good with blocks instead of dots.
Love to see you do a Slick bass guitar
That bass is a nice one. Never figured you to play bass, though. Haha
Nice! I need a bass. Hey, fun livestream the other night man😁
Nice & Jazzy! 🎸🎸🎸
Very nice looking bass. I LOVE hearing great guitarists struggle on bass lol... it's a complex instrument requiring a different way of thinking
Bass looks very nice, just for something different, maybe do an acoustic bass too?
Definitely show more bass. Bring in someone to teach you slap bass methods like maybe Charles Berthoud (check out his TH-cam channel).
Very cool, as always. Greetings from Moscow.
I LOVE THE TONE. 9

More bass!
Welcome to the adult World of bass 🥳
Sure more bass reviews. I'm a bassist and I trust you reviews.
Absolutely, as a bass player whos recently fallen in love with guitar playing I can tell you bassists love a bargain. More reviews on the wallet friendly guitars and basses please.
"not quite as intrusive", very tactfully stated.
Question: are the parts basically Fender spec? For instance, if you wanted to replace the bridge with a Badass bridge, would it fit?
Best acoustic guitar for self defense? Unquestionably the Eko Ranger 6. Built like the gable end of a brick outhouse...
Happy New year to all.
It look's like a nice instrument. Bass for me is something i need around for recording purpose's, so I don't have dozens of them like guitar's. Nice looking bass.
More bass! Davie504 approves!
Love watching this channel I'm subscribing now, can you please review a peavey tragic 1 guitar for me I had one years ago please!!

I'm really, REALLY trying not to make cheesy Danzig references and then you come up with 'bass-ics'. You're making it really difficult now!
really nice bass.
Slap it!😃
Show de bola esse baixo adorei
oh my god
How's the bridge? It looks a little cheap?
Basically i like it!😃
The Bass looks awesome here. But I'm not concerned with them much, more Bass content just wouldn't do much for me, but to each his own.
Show more basses
O M G
cool stuff
Did you ask permission from Davie504 to buy this bass?
Of course.
If i could play just one tune on a bass, it would be Seinfeld theme.
