    Great review. I had no idea multimeter tweezers existed and they do seem accurate.

      Thank you. They work well, I wasn't expecting super high precision from such a small tester, but they do get the job done.

      you can also get tweezers with leads that plug into your multimeter

    seems like a super handy device. looks like it can test electrolytic cap ESR in-circuit which is great. For
    the price i wish it could test small AC voltages. i would prob buy it if it can test the multi chip leds - say, up to 3 led single chips. It’s a pain testing leds on a failed bulb when you don’t know how many leds are in each chip, and some bulbs even mix double and triple led chips within a series string so testing can be a minefield. did you check what the diode/led test Vf can go up to?
    as always thanks for the video - would never have known about this type of new instrument!

      The tester was designed for DC testing, as for LEDs, only 1 led at a time or a few in parallel as shown in the video. I show a very good LED tester on my channel. Thanks for watching!

    Thank you for the review. I can see this setup has some advantages over tweezer probes for my multimeter. I know it must be a royal pain to make videos but having closeup camera shots would help with the displays which are hard for me to see and I'm watching on a large TV.

    • @electronicsNmore
      @electronicsNmore  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you liked the video Chris. I usually zoom in close for displays, but when I played the video back on my computer screen everything was clearly visible. Where did you have a problem? Sounds like your TV wasn't using the 1080p setting. I can see people having trouble on a phone though.

    • @no1slisteninganyway
      @no1slisteninganyway 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@electronicsNmore Hi. It's around 9:42. Even the signal generator wasn't readable. I do have it on 1080P but I'm almost 10 feet away so I may not be the typical viewer. The TH-cam compression may also be making the text fuzzy. Thanks for taking a look.

    • @electronicsNmore
      @electronicsNmore  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@no1slisteninganyway The tester display is crystal clear on my computer at that point in the video. The frequency generator is still easily readable, but a little out of focus because the camera cannot focus both spots at the same time.

    • @JT-lq4yd
      @JT-lq4yd 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@electronicsNmore There was no problem for me. I usually (99% of the time), watch TH-cam on my phone and it was a bit blurry but still readable at 480P(see my comment on accuracy as this is the resolution that I watched the video and made my comment), at 1080P it is very clear.

    Can anyone recommend a hand held multi meter that uses lithium batters?

    • @yeliab814
      @yeliab814 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      they seem frustratingly scant. i’ve adapted a cheap meter that uses 12v a23 batteries to use 3S lithium ion. I’m thinking about using 1S LiFePO4 to adapt a dual AA battery meter that was reviewed on this channel (brand is tacklife i think). i figure i need to match native voltage closely enough. I worry that using those lithium ion 1.5v batteries would introduce problematic noise with their integrated buck converters etc
