I bought one of these and it will be here in a couple days. I got it for less than $50. I just want to scan and archive some important documents. I will not be selling it when I am done. I will always have some more stuff at some point. I just don't have a large amount to scan. The documents I want to archive are photocopies so this will work really well for me to be able to accurately duplicate them if I need them again and can't find the originals. I just made sure the listing doesn't say anything about it being broken in some way. Of course it is an old scanner but at least not so old that there is no driver for a modern version of Windows. I have a Memorex MEM48U scanner and my main problem with it is there is no driver past Windows XP. I tried finding a usable driver but it is impossible. There are some somewhat hacky ways to get it working but a scanner should not be so difficult to get working. I tried the demo version of VueScan which works with a lot of scanners that would otherwise be e-waste. I would not hesitate to try it if I had a scanner it supports. VueScan supposedly makes it possible to get those older scanners working in modern versions of Windows. The best thing I can say is try the demo version to see if it works. I am not affiliated with them at all. I just don't like scanners that are obsolete because there are no modern drivers. I also don't care for complicated software hacks to make them work too. It is not like there are no cheap used scanners out there that may work fine for you.

Thankyou for the great video. Will slightly thicker paper get jammed frequently? Unlike those ADF with flatbed i can still solve with flatbed. Also is scanning fast enough to wait around? Thank you again for any input

Scan is super fast. I haven't tried scanning thick paper in it but I don't think it would be a problem. It's been a while since I have it and is still great. Thanks for watching.

Hello, I just want to ask something. Are the scanned papers, in document file or in image file?
