Hey i was thinking about the Irish Pub. There's a lot of interesting history there many don't know. And its not obvious unless you talk with the historians. But I'll tell you in case you needed background lol Baseball great Joe Dimaggio would stay in the Inn at the Irish Pub during the 80s and 90s. His room was 101. And he would often eat in the dining room, or sit on the porch in the rocking chairs just like any other guest. He even wrote some of his novel while staying there. Joe was a very close friend of the Burkes who still owns the place today. And you can still visit the Inn upstairs. They are pretty friendly, ask for a tour! The building itself, built in 1903 was only owned by three different families. The building was also the model for the hotels on the Monopoly board game, which is in fact based on Atlantic City. The building in the 1920s was a notorious speak easy and was part of a raid. Theres a photo in the dining room by the bar that tells the complete story. Aparently the patrons chased the feds down to the water George carlin used to eat there and work on material at the bar. So did the legends of boxing. The Irish Pub is dog friendly!
Awesome video! They did such a good job on Lucy. I live in South Philly and haven't went to see this attraction yet. It's definitely bigger inside then it looks like it is outside. It was cute when the Little girl was giving out the ice cream and cupcakes. Definitely deserves the tip. It was funny when it was melting fast lol. Stay safe brother 🙏🏻
