Botan is very cultured. It was due to these clips that i discovered Hololive. I am certain that if it werent for the clipers, these girls woudlnt have half the subscribers they have now.
Iirc hololive has an official clipping authorization policy, like it’s allowed as long as it’s not the whole stream. Also, clips serve a second function - it’s the only way to keep up with day to day happenings at this point. If it’s not clipped on youtube, memed/upvoted on reddit, or posted officially on twitter, almost nobody will know.
Pretty much, as it is rather hard for a lot of people to try and watch their full stream everyday. The clips can be the only thing they could afford (in terms of time) to watch.
@@secondsein7749 I'm guilty of this, I do hop to a stream and sometimes may watch from start to finish but real life obligation calls or I would be busy doing something else, the least I can do sometimes is keep the streams in the background as I do other stuff and listen to their shenanigan.

Let me tell you, from observing the firehose that is the holodex.net recent clips listing, that at this point there are 100 new clips every single day, and most of them are unique. So that already is a pretty decent 4 hours of watch time. Having to pay attention to the subtitles, and not having any idle moments since clippers edit those out, makes it hard to multitask while watching.
Clippers like you are directly responsible for the worldwide growth of not only Hololive but Vtubers in general. I think it's something to be proud of so keep up the good work
Absolutely true. To think that 1 clip that I watched back in quarantine would lead to me fall in love with this community so much. It's amazing, the power of translated clips
She's got a point, interesting clips of youtubers/streamers are usually what gets people interested in them in the first place to which they look for the source and eventually start subbing/following that youtube/streamer. It's like spreading awareness.
you know Vtube Tengoku, i am really grateful of you making these vtuber clips. thank you so much. because of you i can watch them despite not understand japanese.
I absolutely would not have gotten into Hololive or vTubers without the hard and diligent work of clippers doing translations of digestible bits from hours-long streams. So I profusely thank and curse you all 💖
Absolutely. Clips became really important in the driving force for hololive last year If it weren't for the clippers or translators, many of us wouldn't be here.
Appreciate the clippers they're the ones making tunnels connecting us in this big rabbit hole. Also they're welcome except those who clip without sauce.
Imo, clips are more effective than using YT ads as some people have adblocks and clips generate likes(or dislikes) and comments that boost their chances to be recommended. In short, Being Recommended > Ads.
I really appreciate it, because I can't understand Japanese, and I don't have enough time, energy, or capacity to give it my full attention. So you, Vtube Tengoku, and all the other clippers that go through the trouble of captioning the Japanese VTubers' clips, really make my day.
I don't think I would be here right now if I haven't discovered vtuber clips back in early jan 2020. so thanks for shoving me deep into the hole, clippers. I was only watching clips for quite a while until I finally decided to actually watch a full stream. my first vtuber stream was watame playing convenience store. I still remember her live 2d avatar broke mid-stream and had to replace it with a cut-out of her head stuck to clocktower scissorman body.
God, she's so educated on this. She could've just said "Haha! Yeah they're funny!" and that would've been fine, but instead got into a whole discussion on why clips are vital to TH-camrs/Vtubers. It really shows the amount of passion you have as a content creator when you talk about it in this way.
that was true, its amazing how clippers have so much power in vtuber genre and that's not an overstatement, many of us fell here because of clippers. thank you always !
High Tech Lion understands the value of clipping. It brings attention to the streamer and encourages viewers to seek out the origin, as well as the possibility of said clips to go viral which brings exponential exposure (Mikochi GTA example).
She has a good point. I started because one of Haachama's archives (back in the Haato days) was recommended to me, and I watched her for months, but didn't know what Hololive was. It was only when watching her caused clips to be recommended to me that I learned about Hololive and the other members. Subbed to all of them now. Was pretty confused for a while about what "hororaibu" was and needed to clarify via comments, which shows that even within the clips, the community that gathers there is important too. It all forms a very healthy ecosphere.
