Losing in the State finals is nothing to hang your head about. This kid better be a legend at your school! Give him a "nice job" when you see him, it will make his day.
Kid is unreal. Is grind shows so heavy in the matches. A lot of people work very hard but aren’t always able to do what this kid does. He might start with a late 2 in the first but once he’s up by 3 or 4 he will pound you for every point going forward and the only points he will give up are let ups to make you break. This kid makes kids break so early. He is top three (no question) heaviest hitter ever

What is amazing is that these are the best wrestlers in the best wrestling state, and they look like Alabama Jv wrestlers when competing against Bassett.

This kid reminds me a lot like Kolat. Kolat had no competition in HS and destroyed anyone that got in his way. They have the same style no mercy and will embarrass you as you can see! Raw talent you can't teach what this kid is capable of.
This kid Bo is one of the most relentless wrestlers I’ve ever seen. I mean almost zero competition for this guy and he’s only a sophomore

bo is a beast. he doesnt blow guys out with athleticism. he kills them with pace, relentlessness, and technique. also he seems to be one of those guys who has just odd, surprising, and different strength.
That sounds like athleticism to me

It was really a battle for second for everyone in his bracket I’m sure he would do the same to the AAA champ too
He wrestled AAA for the PIAA team duals and fared pretty well against them. You gotta remember he wrestled in the clarion and beat D1 college wrestlers like it was nobody’s business. His father would bring him to high school practices for young guns and put him up against me and other schoolers to get him better this kid puts in the work I’m just hoping he doesn’t get too over his head or cocky like Spencer Lee. I lost a lot of respect for Lee after he lost in NCAA and wrestle back I feel his all American status should have been pulled for that.
He didn’t wrestle AAA for team duals. Bishop McCourt is a AA school. I thing he would have won AAA but Maddox Shaw would have definitely pushed him more
@@zach9329 I know he wrestles double a but yeh I agree I’m sure Maddox wouldn’t get teched in the first second period but I do think he would have possibly gotten majored

There’s one this having talent… but this guy works his butt off (like the stories you hear about from the old heads) dude is raw af. He was a legend by freshman year. Can’t wait to see the marks he makes going forward on the sport of wrestlinf

Bo is built different. Not physically, MENTALLY!!!!! He got what it takes. With no ego to weigh him down.
Bo is now beating ncaa champs in freestyle. I have never seen anything like this and have been a part of this sport for 50 years Cary Kolat dominated at a young age but nothing like this.

McCourt and all their wrestlers were on a postseason ban for recruiting the last few years. He was undefeated all year that season too.

Pretty sure his team was ineligible for state contest last year. Something happened during COVID when BM was not masking so the good kids all transferred there. That's my understanding anyway. BM got slapped for not towing the line with all the COVID BS. Good job Bo.

Dude Zepeda cut down from 150 lbs and Bo bumped up from 120 lbs to wrestle 138. That's a huge difference in wrestling. Still he's the number 2 guy in the country behind Zepeda, no shame in that.
So, where do all these great California wrestlers go after high school? Because if you look at the NCAA champions for the last three years, only one of the thirty was from California.
He can't beat the Raney twins though.

You're right. California State Champ bodies a world champion. Because winning California is clearly tougher than winning a world championship. Because you know, more people wrestle in California than the rest of the world combined.

He's unbelievable in Folkstyle, but pretty average in Grecco/Freestyle
Yeah, he was an average cadet freestyle “world champion.” Bo “barely” pinned his Russian opponent in the finals to take the gold.
@shanermcdoogle you are right, he has the tools to succeed in Freestyle and probably will continue to. I guess I was watching a few of his Grecco matches in which he lost to opponents he dominated in Folkstyle.
