- Watch part 2!This was such an amazing day for me! Getting a puppy has been one of my life-long dreams and our Aussie Mini, Skylo is the sweetest and most intelligent baby ever. He was 10 weeks old in these clips and he is going to be about 18 pounds fully grown. If anyone wants more info, please comment down below. Cant wait to see whats to come with this lil guy. And no, we don't leave him in his crate except to sleep which is right next to me in my room. I have two mini Aussies sleeping next to me on the bed right now. A black tri and a blue merle. Such sweet dogs.

me too! getting emma on the 26th of this month. it all started out with a conversation with me and my dad. he said someone called and asked about a boat. turns out, thee maintainance guy at my friend's school had puppies to sell. surprise! I saw them last Saturday, so cute. we're getting the blue eyed one. her classification name was runty but I'm renaming her Emma. looking forward to it

I just got a mini aussie a couple of weeks ago. He is my first Australian Shepherd and I am so glad I chose this breed! He is so intelligent and a very happy-go-lucky dog. I definitely will have another!

Hello. So adorable.LOVE!! I just lost my beloved Aussie. She was 13. I had her for 11 years. She had congestive heart failure. I am beyond devastated and lost. She was my best friend. I am disable so we were together 24/7. Did you adopt or go through a breeder? I am still grieving the loss of my pet. Someday I wish to have another one.
Rachel Rae awww I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your Aussie. I can’t even think about it. I love him so much. We went through a breeder called 5s Aussie ranch in Ohio. The process was easy and seamless. Stay strong. I’m sure it’s not easy. Sending you lots of love and strength. ❤️

I got a dog and it was a called Cappy he was so nice I had him for 8 years...I wish I still had him he died in a crash😥. I love you and your dog take great care of it.

Groovery he’s always loose in the house and he comes to hikes with us! He’s a spoiled dog. That was his first day and he wanted to be in his crate.

Crates provide a safe haven for dogs, so they NEED the crate. Yes, they need exercise too, but he will need his crate to retreat to. Just leave the door open and he will go in it a lot. They need a place of refuge just like we do.

So I have been wanting to get an Aussie for a couple years now. My grandparents had one when I was small. My dog who was like my daughter to me passed away 3 years ago and I have been wanting the company of a Dog again. I want to buy a Blue Merle Australian shepherd with the tail! I live in Chicago and can't leave state I haven't been able to find an Aussie breeder who doesn't doc the tails her. Is anyone knows of any Aussie breeders please let me know

Cutting the tail sucks. Dogs use their tail to comunicate. Bobbing the tail goes back to when there was a tail tax on herding dogs so I've heard. . Check out Ewetopia on You Tube. Herding dog fun.
James Krys I agree. I think it’s only necessary to dock a tail if it is for safety reasons like hunting dogs etc. our dog has a natural bob tail and I’ve seen some people give us dirty looks because they think she had it docked.

Angelina Gutarra I met his half brother as i was walking with my family. The dog was the sweetest dog I’ve ever met and that’s how I got the breeder’s details. I strongly recommend you contact her (Ohio working hours) and ask her all the questions you have. She took a lot of her time with me and was very patient with all my endless questions. I’m sure you will connect well with her. Let me know how you go!

Very cute. Doesn’t look like a mini to me though. Looks like a normal Aussie based on his size as a pup. Most minis are that size full grown.

Alena C. Thank you! No he’s always loose in the house. He just came back from the airport that day and he’s the one who wanted to be in it. He sleeps in it every night 😊. Don’t worry, he’s very well treated and loved.
Crate training is beneficial for people who work long ours, especially if the dog is destructive or annoying to neighbours etc. they don’t really care about it. Unfortunately some people leave their dogs in crates just because they don’t want to deal with them and also shove them into a tiny cage. The dog needs to be able to step once in every direction and spin around easily for it to be the right size for the dog.
