We plan on a year. We did go fast down the rivers as we couldn’t start until the end of Oct and it was freezing! We slowed down considerably once we crossed the gulf.
To quote Harry Chapin, "It's got to be the going, not the getting there that's good." (Greyhound) Hard lesson to learn. I spent years running fishing boats in Alaska - always had to be somewhere yesterday. Long since retired and shuttle the occasional crabber from Seattle to Dutch or back; took almost four weeks to make the trip last spring. (Normally an eight day trip)
Did you make an insurance claim? My hull cleaner noticed a small bent edge on one prop. Insurance paid to haul out the boat, tune both props, remove and true both prop shaft and replace four cutlass bearings.

We sold our house in Spring Lake and I am a Michigan Ross grad. Buddy is blind and I don’t know if that makes a difference, but he took right to using a fake grass potty pad designed for that purpose. We bought it on Amazon. We also try to take him for a walk every day when we get off the boat. We pick up the solids and hold under the fly bridge until we can find a disposal spot on land and the potty pad is right next to the deck drain and we use the wash down kit to hose it down. Hope that helps!
The content on your channel has become much more interesting with time. Editing is better as well, although it’s really difficult to understand your on-the-boat dialogue. Post-production voiceovers, of course, are fine.
