The University of Nairobi was celebrating its 50th Graduation Ceremony with a new Chancellor, Dr. Vijoo Ratansi as Kenyans were celebrating Kenya @ 50 . The University conferred the 3rd Doctor of Science Degree to Professor Ndetei.
