I actually told him I was uploading this since the set was cut from the Nintendo channels when the presentation was put as VOD and he was OK with it. A true legend.

I absolutely believe this wonderful man composted the soundtrack for Magnetica / Action Loop / PuzzLoop, which was one of my favorite games growing up, simply for the soundtrack and how it fit the visual aesthetic of crystalline spheres and electronic components. His song “Awakening” sounds extremely similar to the “Challenge” stage music in Magnetica.
I'm pretty sure Magentica's OST was composed by Toshiyuki Sudo. After listening to it, it's pretty obvious that he's a fan of Ken Ishii. "Challenge" sounds like it copied the rhythm of Awakening but with lower quality instrumentation.
I was sadly taken down soon after it was over on the official Japanese Nintendo YT channel. That was the reason I uploaded the audio mix before that be taken down as well.
I'm not sure they are his tracks even I'm afraid to say. If they are Ken's then it could have been he made them especially for the Switch presentation? Quite often he is a DJ now as far as I know. Last CD I got was Ken Ishii with Marc Romboy called Taiyo. Says it's not for sale on the back, but so does the double disc cd mix 'Play, pause and play'. Discogs have it tho.
@@ShiryuGL But it's up on your channel and seems to be fine, so do you think it's fine for anyone to use in a random video (as long as credit is given, say when the song starts playing)
@@FunnyAnimatorJimTV it is fne because it is not monitized by me, all procedings go directly to Ken Ishii. Some discographys will simply issue takedowns so you can never tell. Im glad they let me keep this on, I was sad to see it removed from nintendos official japanese channel.

I remembered it from watching the presentation when it was first livestreamed and was so glad I was able to find it again, along with the video. Thank you so much!

AFAIK he only has music on 'Rez' and 'Lumines II', so it might just be a coincidence.

Also, if you type Ken Ishii on that site is brings up his 'discography'. Good place to source most of his tracks I guess.
I only know his older stuff from like "Extra", "Butterbump", "Game Over" and such.
