I'd never forget a night late December 2007, when he was headlining the gig at Velvet Banana club in Hongdae, the city of Seoul. It was so huge an honor for me to have a chance for a quick talk with Ken ishii, sipping a bit of drink at the bar table, waiting for his turn; this generous talented man even agreed to play a tune I requested. Ken Ishii is my techno god!
When was the last time that there was a live set from Ken Ishii online!!! Two of the best DJ's in the world; Jeff Mills and Ken Ishii have never live sets online.
Ken Ishii is a great producer of techno electronic music, but for what I've heard him and Jeff Mills play one style on live too flat. I suggest to search about Francesco Farfa, he plays in one dj set several kind of music, spacing from london progressive house to minimal, and sometimes he put on turntables also house progressive and a mix of breakbeat and goa style. Also by a technical point of view he play at the vynil time 3 turntables with scratches...... No one is like him. In the djing as in the chart of pop music there is a mainstream believe that the "big" name are the best ones, but I think the reality is different.
