Hey, I had the same issue.I got a ESC board from e-bay. And follow your 2 videos instructions.Mine is flying as it before. Many thanks.Keep up the good work
@@thecuriousnomad4712 I dropped my drone into a lake on holiday ,back to the Uk ,plunge it into isopropyl.Got 2 led only ON .Change ESC same issue ,send the parts back to eBay and get motherboard from same seller ,and it works .Drone is flying again 🙏🏼☺️☺️
Hello, thanks for the video of dismantling and changing the ESC board. Now I know how to do it if I need to in the future. What brought me to your video is the fact that I crashed my DJI Mini 2 over a fresh water creek when the temp was below freezing, because I hit an unseen tree twig and fell into about a foot of water. It was submerged for over 2 hours before I could retrieve it. At this point, I was just happy to find it to retrieve the card full of video I had recored that day. All files were okay, with the exception of the last file when I crashed. I took it home removed the battery and left it sitting on the porch outside for about 3 hours before I had the chance to purchase some rice. I then smothered it in a deep pan of rice and let it set there for 5 days. Low and behold, when I put a new battery in, it powered up and flew like normal. Shot some test video and it recorded just fine. So... for now thank God, it seems to be okay. Hope it continues to work! I'm thinking that the Mini 2 is programed to automatically cuts power when it detects a fall/crash. Otherwise, if it didn't cut power, It seems like it would have fried the motors, or something! My guess is, if one was flying and accidentally flew it into the water, then they would have a different outcome.
I had the same experience. my mini fell into the water fall after hitting some leaves and it came down a while and landed into a hold in the rushing water. mine was submerged prob a minute or so. I took the battery out and dried it off. now it seems to work fine. did not test the card yet but I have a hope it will all be just as it was. I was looking at the 2S with all avoidance and ready to get that one but now that this is working I will just keep using this one.
I miss your flint knapping videos. Would love to see them again! I feel like there are very few people with the knowledge and art for teaching those techniques which are slowly being lost to time.
I had the same problem with my Mavic Mini. I crossed my fingers, waiting for a positive result. Well, at least we know what the immediate solution is ... buy a replacement. ;)
No, ESC stands for Electronic Speed Controller, It just controls the amount of current going to the motors based on the signal it receives from the Remote Control
Hi i had the same problem, fixee it by changing the 2 connectors! ESC connector and the 3 in 1 connector, as these parts burn when shorted with water. Give it a try!
Hi, I also drowned my Mini 2. I had power system error - changing ESC resolved this problem. There is picture preview on the DJI Fly app, but two other errors apper: Gimbal motor overloaded and gimbal stuck. Do you have any idea where is the problem? Soft flex-cable?
Dunked my mini ,got ebay esc , worked good ,but after 5 months on the shelf esc error again , Bad board? other component? bad juju? Crap shoot either way
I was hoping someone on here might know what the no1 and no4 lights mean, it has to be an indicagtor of the fault. I did contact DJI describing the problem but never got a reply.

Awesome, Glad I could help. Did you also have #1 and #4 LED lights on before replacing ESC? Thanks
@@thecuriousnomad4712 any progress on this?
Did you have to re-register your drone to the fly app, or was your drone serial number still the same as before?

Yeah, used ones are well priced, thanks
It's a shame it didn't work.
Best flights with the new Mini2

Thanks much
Please I want to know is the ESC board responsible for connecting the drone to the remote controller
No, ESC stands for Electronic Speed Controller, It just controls the amount of current going to the motors based on the signal it receives from the Remote Control
Was hoping that would've fixed it. Great attempt, nonetheless 👍!!
Appreciate it
Hello please answer me i have dji mavic mini battery not shows on writing n/a is my drone esc broken
Hey Nomad, my DJI mini has an ESC problem. Could that be the reason I can't update my drone?
A bad ESC would keep your drone from powering up, but if your drone is powered up then the ESC is not the issue with updates
I broke one wing up front. I'd love a little direction on how to rep lace it, I do have a spare. 😟☹️
Shame that didn't but you acted as I would in your place, all the best with the replacement.
Thanks

Hallo sir from where can i get new Motherbaord for mini 2 ?
Thanks
Try Ebay, I saw them on there but they are over $100 so kind of expensive
I have exactly same issue, fell into fresh water and only no1 and no4 led is on .
I was hoping someone on here might know what the no1 and no4 lights mean, it has to be an indicagtor of the fault. I did contact DJI describing the problem but never got a reply.
@@thecuriousnomad4712 I might be an indication of some fault but no one knows what’s wrong.
So any update on your drone ?
Does anyone know what kind of plastic the DJI Mini 2 body is made of?
My drone dropped in the water more than half hour till we found it and the surprise it working without any issue
That is great, you got lucky!
Where did you get it for 27$$$??..
Ebay
May I know where you bought the parts?
Ebay
That's too bad but a valiant effort nonetheless.
I like trying to fix things and it is always satisfying when it works, but its never 100%, thanks for watching
