God i wish paintball would have a boom again. I hate to compare but paintball was that niche that was outside "mainstream" professional sports when i was younger(rec ball first). Now video gaming has filled that gap and has enveloped this current generation. Hopefully kids realize feeling alive and moving around using lifelike tactics is actually exhilarating .
I would like if these pro teams would sometimes visit the surronding paintball parks and play with the regulars or first timers, cuz it would be great if i got to play with Tampa bay damage. EDIT: lmao the video has no dislikes
Every well almost every pro team ive had at my local fields( ironmen, dynasty, xsv, naughty dogs, bob longs various teams) have been all about their agenda. Which is completely understandable these pro teams are there for business and have limited time to get what they need done. But what was somewhat upsetting and offputting to a impressionable, young and obsessed with paintball 16 year is a good majority of these pro players who I thought of as heroes and idolized came off as so conceited and arrogant. They acted like popular movie celebrities and rock stars and they treated us..their fans like dirt, like we didn't matter. That our question about the game or to get a picture or autograph was damn near about to kill them dead on the spot. I could name names and I think the PB community would be shocked. But on the opposite side a few of the pros went above and beyond engaging with the younger players, even if it was just for five minutes at lunch or end of the day. One player I'll never forget and am still a huge fan of almost 15 years later is of Scott Kemp from the late Sacramento Xsv team.
Love paintball but gotta say, saying that they're getting "kills" and "dying" doesn't sound overly professional. Sounds like they're just a bunch of kids playing army instead of pro athletes.

As a former military member and paintballer I was laughed at when I said if you put a paintball team against a SOF team, the paintball team would win. People laughed at me. They weren't laughing when I single handedly smoked three SOF guys using SIM rds during exercises by myself. People think its marksmanship all the time and in my opinion its not. Its tactics and movement. i was able to out think and out maneuver my opponents very quickly not from what I learned in the military but on the paintball field. The military will never admit that its tactics are outdated.
John Hagrad they already are with the use of drones. They know these kids can’t possibly win a conflict with another country. I e watched a ton of videos on here and served with this generation of war fighters and it’s a joke. For one the conditioning is no where near the level it was 20 yrs ago. For instance the BUDs students used to be up and down all around carrying boats 24/7 around NAB and beyond. Nowadays? It’s like swim camp at that bitch
You are talking about just paintball right? Because with the real guns it's a totally different story. There's No way a paintball player would any SOF on a real gun battle. Especially when there's a though of you could actually die. You are in a unique experience being on the sport and previously active. But if you have pro paintabller vs a pro killer in a jungle with real guns, who do you think would win? Would you think that the tactics on this environment are still outdated? I laughed at kids who plays paintball thinking they can fight in a real war.
Paintball grew massively all the way into about 2014ish. Took a bit of a downturn, then bounced back again. It's not growing like it did back in the late 2000's but it's still around.

Yes and no, a lot of people left, then the team was terrible, then a lot of them came back and they're sorting it out.
