This sound brings to mind a lot of memories especially my Ogs Mr Remi Amele from whom I first heard this sound and fell in love with it even though I could barely speak and understand yoruba language. This was the essence of the music of KSA.
The album will be thirty years old this year, in October; but just listen to the instrumentation, the sound quality especially. I used to think that it was a bit "over-produced" when it first came out (the next several albums after this would be toned down perhaps because of a similar suspicion by the musician himself) but that initial flaw is now enhancing the album's appeal. By the way, the producer was Odion Iruoje, and the album marked a new, energetic beginning for Sunny, all over again!
I remember those days in jos while are was peaceful, Sunday an uncle will be blasting this particular song from his Kenwood Speakers while the "bros" will be sipping Gulder and Star lager beer and we are the errands boy then. Life was full of joy,peace and hope but now Jos has become a den of Lunatics.
