Why don’t you put the bead the other way? Seems like it wicked give more of an offset.
The bead itself is designed to produce a jig style fly. The fly would not move properly if you put it on another way. The design of the bead would fight you the entire time. Thanks for reaching out!
The bead is designed to be offset you’re missing the biggest advantage of the bead design. Turn it around and you have more weight at the front of the fly. Maybe I’m wrong but that’s how it’s done by most people I’ve seen use the beads.
