- Quick vid on how I reinstalled the cylinder head on a Merc 500. Replaced the bolts and followed the "book" for the most part... In other parts not so much. I have had issues with the torque specs on water jackets in the past so I Torqued 35 inch lbs more than manufacturer recommends. It'll be alright.
Bolts and nuts much better than bolts in block, have 5 to drill press out tomorrow
Agreed my friend.
You did not do anything wrong with the increase on the torque. I have seen the number 1 throw water, and wash the plug. Like the tutorial.
My 50 is doing that. There was a hole next to it for a sensor. I plugged it and now its pissing out all around #1 plug. I bought a new gasket. My motor has sat for who knows how long as I bought it used.
Why only sealant on one side of the gasket?
You can do both if prefer. The gasket absorbs the sealant and I have not had any issues with leaks etc. Just a preference that saves money. Son
I am noticing water in cylinder 6 like it’s almost washing the plug. Would this gasket be my issue? Or could it be the exhaust side?

Motor is out of inventory. Thank you Flynn. Son
