This is one of my favorite TMBG songs, but I’ve never been able to decide which version I like better. I love the rawer demo feel of the original, but this version is slightly faster and has the funky psychedelic breakdown. Hard to decide.
@@scottandrewhutchins Yeah, from the sound of the really short clip just before the Dad character gets hijacked by Ivan's Ooze, it sounded more country than anything.
@@scottandrewhutchins It was to my uncultured 9 year-old ears… plus the dad pulling up in a pickup sort of gave me some assumptions about the song fragment that I only shook off right before commenting.

It's a B-side from the S-E-X-X-Y EP. It was included on the Japanese version of Factory Showroom, and also on the John Henry/Factory Showroom set put out by Edsel (which I have). That set includes some very interesting bonus tracks for both albums.
That damn Ivan Ooze. Dad just got home from work now he's a zombie slave.
They Might Be Morphin Power Rangers
Since TGMT only officially released this in Japan, I guess you have to call it "They Might Be Super Sentai" :P
@@jackblack3718 They also put it it on the S-E-X-X-Y EP
One of my fave TMBG songs! Almost impossible to find so thanks for putting up!
favorite song ever. kind of a weird choice i guess but i don’t care it’s the bop to end all bops
That guitar riff in the verse kills me. Try headbanging to it.
Why didn’t this make the album? It’s so damn good…
Seriously. Inexplicable.

These lyrics are murderous, the flow, the fit. Peak Linell.
When I was only a zygote
I still remember the time
When there was nothing to know or to think about
Except the sound of my mind
And the sound from outside
SenSurround
Down at the bottom
Sensible to ear and sternum
And the world first spoke to me in SenSurround

Came right up through the floor

If I could follow the trail to the ocean floor
I think I'd know what there'd be

When I first heard this song I heard this lyric like this: And the world first spoke to me in Zatarans.
That's the other version of the song. See This Might Be a Wiki for more details.
Lol me as a 28 yr old googling "song from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers the Movie"
3 weeks later and I did the same at 26 🤣🤣

Just added this to my TH-cam favorites playlist, and I’m in my 60s.
Fuckin same ❤❤❤

I have it on the S-E-X-X-Y CD single/EP.

It's on the Japanese release of Factory Showroom.
I know. They should have had this as an album-ending bonus track, if Token Back To Brooklyn was an album-opening bonus track before S-E-X-X-Y.
Fred’s dad liked They Might Be Giants?
You know I had to Google " scene where freds dad gets home song" 😅
Such a good song!!!
why isn’t this on spotify?
Isn’t on Amazon music either :(
I think your best chances is downloading it on TH-cam music
It’s not on Apple Music either. I used to have it on a cd single for S-E-X-X-Y. That cd was stolen from me though and I haven’t heard it since.
My theme song right here.
why does this remind me of we want a rock lol
When the dad was getting out of the SUV in Power Rangers the movie 🙃
The Golden Hawaiian Swordsman Dragon knows that THIS song started playing when Fred Kelman's dad came home from work.👍

Entrance theme for Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus, perhaps?

I believe it's also on the Power Rangers OST.

this song sounds pretty normal until you listen to the lyrics
This song starts off sounding like a Ron Wasserman track, and that's kinda weird.
Probably why they picked it
Re-record this; same tempo, but tighter; get Linnell to actually emote; get him drunk or something.
