The fact that this is my favorite TMBG song is really put into perspective when I realize that I had never heard this song until I bought this soundtrack, a soundtrack that I found brand new and bought on impulse from some random comic store I had never been to before in the year 2021.
R.I.P Jason David Frank 😔💔 the power ranger nation is behind you until the end brother. Thank you for making our childhood spectacular and rememberable, we all miss and love you brother 🙏🤍💚
Had I not bought this album, and in particular never heard this song at a very young age, I shudder to think what my musical taste would be today. They introduced me to so many genres.
When I was only a zygote I still remember the time When there was nothing to know or to think about Except the sound of my mind And the sound from outside SenSurround Down at the bottom Sensible to ear and sternum And the world first spoke to me in SenSurround If mom had known she was expecting She might have gone to see Jaws Instead of picking a film where the sound effects Came right up through the floor And I'd be differently formed SenSurround Down at the bottom Sensible to ear and sternum And the world first spoke to me in SenSurround. Accidently in a coal mine it was found When they accidently dug too far down And found the SenSurround I still don't know who conceived it Or where they got the idea, But there it was in the aisle by the exit sign A woofer covered in wood to shake the room when it should SenSurround Down at the bottom Sensible to ear and sternum Made the fakeness realistic When the action went ballistic One degree shy of sadistic And the world first spoke to me in SenSurround If I could swim under the water without having to breathe If I could follow the trail to the ocean floor I think I'd know what there'd be Down there waiting for me SenSurround Down at the bottom Sensible to ear and sternum Made the fakeness realistic When the action went ballistic One degree shy of sadistic And the world first spoke to me in SenSurround
This is one of my favorite songs that is calming I would play in my car to drive just like Fred's dad did before he became hypnotize by that purple ooze. Brings me back memories from my childhood watching this on vhs tape.
when Freddy's dad gets home, this is playing on his stereo. It's right before he finds the ooze Freddy got from Ivan, which puts him in a trance (along with the other parents).
That is why I play other music too! My attention span is so low, that such I deviate away from maintream products and/or protocol in favor of kickass pilot projects for causes that save me money that mainstream america needlessly spends because they have no will to try new or less maintream things, not to mention their lack of will to hear less maintream music.
@@timothymergenthalerIt reminds me I met all the power rangers actors at Lexington comic con. I met Jason David Frank 3 times, Austin St. John, Walter Jones, Karan Ashley, “Bulk and Skull” twice. “Kat” 3 times. Amy Jo Johnson and Steve Cardenas once.
only in the movie for ten seconds. yet those ten seconds are remembered till this day
And it's a fckng stupid scene! Thank goodness the song made the album.
This song makes me want to investigate a conspicuous plastic jar full of purple stuff that my son got from a wizard in the park.
I feel like this song is criminally underrated. So amazing all around!
2023 and still listening to it honoring my Power Ranger within. ❤️

So Fred's dad likes They Might Be Giants. Who knew?
+gorillazfan1992 Sniffs and touches the ooze and gets turned into a mindless zombie!!!
_Why did I not know of this song's existence until just now???_

Just found out about this song in the line in line for a They Might Be Giants concert here in Houston this Saturday. Dang.
There needs to be more double tracked Linnell vocals. His voice sounds extra nice double tracked.
This is exactly the last song I'd want to hear before opening and getting brainwashed by a can of Ivan's Ooze.
I was a young idiot then in 1995, happy to discover some great music in 2000s thanks to napster(b4 drama)/imesh/kazaa/audio galaxy/isohunt etc etc.
The song Fred's dad was listening to in the car before he got brainwashed
"Hmmm strange jar of purple ooze." Brainwashed
so DEVO and They Might Be Giants were part of the soundtrack and i somehow was ignorant to this information until today.
me too, Spud4life
RIP Jason David Frank
When I was only a zygote
I still remember the time

Except the sound of my mind
And the sound from outside

Sensible to ear and sternum
And the world first spoke to me in SenSurround

Came right up through the floor
And I'd be differently formed

Sensible to ear and sternum
And the world first spoke to me in SenSurround.
Accidently in a coal mine it was found
When they accidently dug too far down
And found the SenSurround
I still don't know who conceived it
Or where they got the idea,
But there it was in the aisle by the exit sign
A woofer covered in wood
to shake the room when it should
SenSurround
Down at the bottom
Sensible to ear and sternum
Made the fakeness realistic
When the action went ballistic
One degree shy of sadistic
And the world first spoke to me in SenSurround
If I could swim under the water
without having to breathe
If I could follow the trail to the ocean floor
I think I'd know what there'd be
Down there waiting for me
SenSurround
Down at the bottom
Sensible to ear and sternum
Made the fakeness realistic
When the action went ballistic
One degree shy of sadistic
And the world first spoke to me in SenSurround
Thank you

The best version of the tmbg classic sucks it's not on spotify
I'm thinking of songing this song karaoke sometime. It rocks!
@DarthRaukrist the name is based on the giant windmills scene from Don Quixote
There was also a movie comedy called They Might Be Giants (1971) with George C Scott.
They Might Be Rangers

@philliyfanbo If i remember correctly, this was playing during the end credits.
i remember before the internet and before i started caring about the ending credits, i used to assume this was green day xD good times xD
Green Day sucks.
@philliyfanbo You could hear it play in the father's car as he's driving up the driveway.
It seems the only difference is that with a car radio, people are going to be subjected to your music. Not everyone's going to be a fan of that music.
Alexa keeps saying she doesn't know this song 😭😭
damn i've been a fake fan this whole time, i didn't even know this song existed
I love that song.
me 2
