I think from the first or second game of the season it was obvious Hackett was in over his head as a head coach. He's a good coordinator, but struggled to oversee the team and put it all together. Part of me thinks he was meant to be a placeholder anyway until Payton was free to finalize his deal with the Waltons. Wilson will play much better this year.
Broncos should be good next year. That last 2 games showed that Russ still got it. They got one of the top head coaching candidates, and they beefed up the o-line. Lack of coaching and a banged up o-line was what held them back last year. They addressed both of them, and they should be back on the map in 2023 and beyond. It's going to be up to the Broncos to make this work.
Seahawks fan here. I believe Russ will bounce back in 2023 with Sean Payton. As long as Sean Payton runs a run heavy offense and emphasize Russ's strengths, he should bounce back and the Broncos should have a much better season than last year.

Russ isn't in his prime anymore. But I think a lot of people are going to be surprised by how much better he plays this year under an actually competent head coach. I'm not saying Russ is gonna be a top tier qb or anything, but he clearly still has juice left in him. Sean Payton is prioritizing the run game, so Russ doesn't even have to be phenomenal.
