It’s amazing to compare fully loaded 100’ maxi 18 race crew cruising at 25knts on a 600 dash and then there’s single handers in 60’ foilers racing the globe at the same speeds mind blowing !
how come on these huge yachts the video and audio is so low quality, compared to what we see on the Vendee Globe from solo sailors going around the world in 60 footers? would be nice to have images on par with the reputation of the évent! thanks!
The contrast between this sprint and the Vendee is a great advert for sailing a sport. I wish the French Ultimes were present to b embarrass the dumb mono-Maxis - or the IMOCA! Meanwhile Zeus is the most interesting innovative performance boat in this race. Thanks once again to you for the coverage.
Cracking good stuff and great coverage. Is there any reason besides bigotry that multis aren’t allowed in? For many years multi sailors were shunned by establishment yacht racing. In most cases that’s long gone, but the CYCA still seems to carry this dogma.
That`s right, Knitting or Gardening is thrilling enough for most people in the world. As for the rest of us? I don`t think we need a bunch of Hand Wringers looking for a "Do Good Tag" telling us how to live. Thanks for your concern all the same,,,
What a stupid statement. People have died playing cricket or even tennis. There is an element of danger in anything we do its a part of the excitement and is an accepted risk by the people who participate.
Just marvelous, the conditions are just perfect and the competition is always fierce!

Absolutely! It would be great to see a latest generation foiling IMOCA in the Sydney Hobart and see how it did!
But but but... I thought Pip Hare was diverting over to Hobart to join this race ??? No ??? Oops.

@@antoinebachmann6253 mainly because they're only doing a short race, and aren't so set up on board for media
It would be great to let IMOCA entries next year.
Why?

I think it is the variety available in sailing which makes it such a great sport!
"Lumpy Gravy" Right? Lots of Lumpy Gravy. Oh well. 〰✨🌿‼🌿✨〰
TALKING HEADS. Any actual sailboats?

I think its probably more about logistics than "bigotry". The CYCA have a hard time accomodating the monos in Sydney harbour let alone multis as well.
Yep. That Comanche boat. Made in Booth Bay Maine. Those North Sails sails. ~~~ USA...... A quality build. I'm tellin ya. Whoo Wee. 〰✨〰. New Hampshire
Will Ken Read helm Comanche ?
Time to shut down this death trap race.
Too many lives lost

Much much less distracting if the presenter can stop flailing his hands around on camera.
