I dont like "whos the GOAT" debates but all i can say is that for ME what puts Ronaldo ahead of Messi is his power and his will. Ronaldo fights more for his team, hes training like a freak, hes 100% into every game trying to make the difference and hes able to put his will into his team. The hunger for more and more. I agree, but there is something here. These two monsters have totally screwed up the rational understanding of football players. We see Ronaldo as the hard-worker and Messi as the gifted, but them both are both. I mean, there's lots of players putting the hard-work in, but Ronaldo has brought that to an insane level that even Messi (which is an extremely hard-worker, many other superstars were already retired at his age, and he keeps delivering superclass performances like he is 28 at 34) looks like he is just gifted. And same the other way, Ronaldo is extremely gifted, yet Messi is just otherworldly in that sense. And the proof is that both of them are very cocky (main difference is that Ronaldo expresses it and Messi doesn't), but they have ultimate respect for each other and both agree they are so good thanks to the other one pushing the limits. They are the yin and yang of the GOAT. I prefer Messi, but I'd take Ronaldo in my team every day.
I would say stat wise Ronaldo is way above Messi but however they both are insanely good and they both definitely bring alot of value to any team that they sign with. But however they are so good to the point it's costing a ridiculous amount of money to sign them.. but Ronaldo I believe has scored more then Messi and he has done alot more then Messi has but Messi was already in Barcelona at the age of 13 I think and Ranaldo wasn't in a team like that at 13..

Most people like Messi because they see him as a quiet, stays to himself, humble guy and Ronaldo wears his emotions on his sleeve and seems cocky, arrogant, and a bad person, the bad person is not true. There is no such thing as a natural. The question is did you practice hard because you pushed yourself or because situation pushed you (when you were still very young)? Even players that are considered very naturally talented like Ronaldinho did struggle and trained when they were young, look at his backstory as a child. He was born in a footballer family in immense poverty and football was his only escape...He is considered a natural, but he was built by situation + local culture.
