All About the NEW KARBEN Slicker Brush | Dog Grooming & Handling Equipment Series

Have you heard about Chris Christensen’s newest slicker brush, the KARBEN slicker? Allison was part of the team that brought this slicker brush to life and she is very pleased to share it with you!
In some of our courses and resources, you might notice we are now recommending the Karben as well. Allison explains how this ‘Goldilocks’ brush solves some very dog show specific grooming needs, and “fills the gap” between the existing slicker brushes and those needs.

Thanks for the clarification. I have a Big G but needed something a little less aggressive & the Mark Series was too tame. I will now be purchasing the Karbon Brush. Thank you!

I've had my Karben brush a week now and find it much more useful than a traditional Mark style slicker for my Samoyeds. It does a very good job removing loose fine undercoat as well as fluffing up the coat. Previously I had purchased a brush for sheepskin that was a little softer (my dogs really liked it) & worked extremely well but not durable. The Karben is very similar and I think will soften up a bit with use. It is perfect for puppies.

I’ve ordered the Karben brush on Amazon after your recommendation, just received it a couple of days before, and I find it very gentle and still with good brushing ability

The big k is way too aggressive for daily brushing for my 100 lb one year old doodle. I think the karben is gonna be perfect for daily brushing! I felt so bad using the big k because it pulls so bad even on detangled hair because his hair is still fine but dense and floofy. It gets caught in it. Thought about getting big g but then seen this one. I will still try to get use from big k with his ears and tail that isnt such fine hair and i keep long. It also does a phenomenal job of removing all the fall debris from his hair. This is our first fall together and i underestimated the level of magnetic abilities of his tail to all kinds of stuff lol

I’m really loving the Karben right now. I find it easier to use for a new brush enthusiast opposed to the big g or k. Hopefully I can work my way up to being good with that one too

Hi - you can use the new Karben, Big G in medium, and you also need a pin brush like the Breezy Brush with 20mm pins and green pad, or the Fusion brush.
