Enjoyed watching this Stravros969, thank you. I did my Class 1 training in a Daf CF 85.410 and then went straight into one of these for a driving evaluation with A W Jenkinson. To say it blew my mind was an understatement. It was packed inside with tech and quality. Bit of a shock to a newbie that had just past his test. One thing that did throw me on he driving evaluation was how incredibly sensitive the steering was. I later found out it had the rear drop axle up making the effective cab length much shorter and thus much more responsive at the steering wheel.
I had to subscribe after this video, love the variety of stuff you have in your channel and it's really really good to see a full in depth review of these new scania trucks, absolutely beautiful. Something I hope to drive one day, I've only had the experience of an older Renault so far but Scania's have my heart haha!
Scania truck company vrey good comapny Scania r450 truck output input very nice design future function better easy my favourite Scania truck thanks nice video
Hiya Stavros, just found ya channel. I'm a petrolhead, trucker, biker, if it's got wheels I can usually drive or ride it! Enjoying your content and presenting style sir. Thanks for the good content. Cheers and all the best.
I’ve just got one, I’ve not driven it yet, got an assessment tmoz Mon 16th April 2018, that’s why I’m here, really enjoyed this film & a very good presenter, now I have some insight as to what to expect, Mine has the visor also a peculator in the front left & a microwave in the centre box, for the Tramper in me.
Am your biggest fun from Mombasa-nairobi highway but I work with faw 380hp, beiben and scania..i long for a day you will bring for as for the faw beiben or shackman but for real I learnt do drive auto matic scania from you and I passed the interview
I like this interior a lot more than the one with the red lines, though I'm not really feeling the flat bottom steering wheels, I like the round wheel with the wood half ring around it most. Definetally the nicest Scania interior design I've seen.
Eco mode is best feature for R450. I drove the R460, my mileage on the truck was 59522 km. I drove from Durban to Johannesburg, on the Eco mode and when I arrived at my destination in Johannesburg, Industrial West, my fuel percentage was 72% to 100%.. Which mean that my employer made the right choose of vehicle..
That 26 year old truck is younger than the average age of Nolan’s fleet of aging DAF’s lumbering along at 48mph with a Latvian behind the wheel. Nice to see them out and about in New Ross in their knacker mobile.
So many differences compared to the trucks I drive here in North American. My truck is a real American truck, very noisy, big, bad turning circle, poor interior design, etc. Wish we had European trucks here.
Volvo VNL seems to be the only american truck you can actually live with. But for some reason, even the volvo VNL seems to be behind in technology compared to even the international versions of the same brand trucks (Volvo fh). I think the American market is intimidated by change which is why the truck companies over there try to keep it "classic"?
I noticed that it runs away down hill, that's my only complaint. The restricter seems like a soft restriction. I hit 70mph a few times without even noticing. DAFs seem to hold you no matter what you can't get past 56.
Scania truck very good company track brand new design Scaniar r450 very nice truck out port design very nice interior design very nice very good stylish truck and you very nice video
Dont think our euro trucks would have a lot of friends over there. The living area is soooo small compared to us trucks. Ok, the concept is complete different and the whole cabin is the living room, you dont have a sleeper, but if i had the choice, i would drive an us truck
@@piuforte most sleepers are not any bigger than a little twin bed cot. Some are a bit bigger. The huge ones you see on some Kenworth and Pete trucks are actually pretty rare. Aside from the sleeper size, there is no comparing. Even a really well setup US truck is not as nice as the comparable Scania. You guys just get a nicer quality office in general. I drive a brand new 2019 Kenworth T440 currently. The interior is about on par with an 1989 Camaro I once owned. Lol. We also don't get the cool toys some of the euro trucks get. Like the hydraulic driven front axles. Or just modern suspension systems that auto level the trucks when on uneven terrain. Watched a video of a MAN dump truck with that system. Chassis stays flat as the wheels follow the humps on the course. Granted not all trucks have these features, but it is not even an option here. Living with and driving our trucks, then looking at how the real working trucks are over there, its a whole different world.
Being automatic truck I can see the revs going up and down, does it mean for a gear change you stop reving or ..... kindly explain Sir. Am writing from Nairobi Kenya east Africa
The air pressure gauge is shown on the screen in digital/graph style, and can be seen using the mode button on the steering wheel. I will show it when i review another truck sometime, thanks coolcainecool
Great vid. Very nice but instead of reading the trucks systems through the computer on the dash I'd much rather gauges for each individual system I hate how computers are changing everything
Hello Stravros.First thanks for all your videos.May i ask if you know what a S520 usage is?? I drive a R450 now, but my employer wants a bigger truck for me.Offcourse i asked for a V8 😉 But what does it use?My R450 does 1liter on 100km (20/100)
Would love to see the return of cab over trucks back to America but they were never that popular with the US trucking community. The cabovers were a compromise against limited truck length until the new more liberal DOT truck length laws came into effect. US truckers love seem to have an obsession with conventional trucks over cab overs for class one trucks.
Your smile while driving says it all about this vehicle
I never thought the last model would be outdone from the design point of view but they did it - it's a huge step forward, brilliant design.
*scania* *king* *of* *the* *road*
I will be so happy to live with this truck
How did I even get to this video? I was looking at Audis and then came to this... pretty Interesting though!

I want one just for the cab set up.
damn that interior is so nice. I live in Canada and im very jealous.
Don Atello Same... My 2005 Western Star is garbage compared to this Scania
i wanna move to europe for a while just to drive there trucks lol they look so cute.
Come to Germany, our vehicles have the steering wheel on the left side too
