This refers to social caste with gold spoons being at the top of the food chain, followed by silver, tin, etc. and dirt spoons at the very bottom. Coming from a small company, they had no media pull and no way to combat this. Thus the cyphers were born. RM (BTS' leader) said that by 2017 he had no more anger toward the haters and so Mic Drop was their last response to them. (The title 'mic drop' was inspired by Obama.)
The ratatouille part was Suga and the translation is "No cons in our concerts I do it, I do it, you’re a tasteless ratatouille If you’re jealous, sue me." Ratatouille is traditionally a harvest dish made to celebrate the fruits of the farmer's hard labor. By calling his competitors "tasteless ratatouille," he is saying that their hard work came to an unsatisfactory harvest and the result is plain and tasteless.

However, the original is not that much different but is almost in full Korean. I’ve heard that it hits different in the Korean language.
This is b far my fav collab BTS has done, i love the message as its to the haters and my fab line is ‘did you see my bag, did you see my bag, hella trophies and its hella thick’ which to me describes all the awards they have won in korea and america also this is them flexing in a suttle way. So to explain something. BTS were hated from the beginning mainyl by fans from other groups that were already high up. In KPOP we have the BIG 3 COMPANIES. SM ENTERTAINMENT(Everything about kpop basically started with them the rules, trainees, positions, etc..), JYP ENTERTAINMENT(The founder actually auditioned for SM so I guess without him failing we wouldn't have so many legendary and amazing groups) and YG ENTERTAINMENT( You coukd say they are the black sheep out of them, because artists were from the beginning known but hated as well because the idols were writing their own lyrics and sometimes speak up about problems). Now HYBE is as well a very big ENTERTAINMENT(Label) that has many companies under them. These companies have been on their own but later they got under HYBE. Big Hit Entertainment is the name they had before. Like groups that were known to be under the Entertainment PLEDIS for example are not known as groups under HYBE like SEVENTEEN. And to go back Big Hit wasn't really big back then so BTS basically lifted their popularity and basically of whole kpop(BLACKPINK got international fans as well that got to KPOP but overall it was BTS because BP is very different). People many times discredit them as being overhyped but no there is genuine talent in these guys. The vocalists,the rappers,the dancers...and much more. . . . There is so mich more to it but i don't have the time right now so yeah basically BTS was hated by fans of bigger Entertainments groups like SME groups mainly EXO back then. SME has a lot of Power in kpop. They wanted to buy BTS from Big Hit. SME many times bougth other groups that came near their groups succes an example is INFINITE. Like I am not saying they have bad music or anything, they arr very Experimental with their groups. Which I love. One of fave groups right now is æspa with their AMAZING concept. I for sure recommend them :)
It's a bit unfortunate because I think the original song without Steve Aoki was a lot better. Steve didn't really do much improvement to the song and I thought he ruined it a bit by leaving in the lous whinning sound of it.
