- We went back to the drag strip today to chase down this silly 8 second pass in the Rat Rod Supra. All though we got super close, I failed at getting this thing off the starting line fast enough!!!

Love this supra content, also you gunna get Ty to throw some chassis bracing in mullet while he does the rear, remove a lot of that twist when making those low 6 second passes.
That's the reason they decided to do a full floater rear with all new 4 link. No more stock torque boxes etc
@@haydenroyer still needs a lot of bars added to stop the chassis, Kevin has mentioned it and Ty agrees I think it just the effort and time todo a lot of work. Full tube chassis car would be ideal.
There’s only so much he can about that. The car has a very long wheel base and a single (long) frame rail. With the power he is trying to put down plus the weight of the car the car really needs double frame rails. That’s what Kevin was talking about on Coops channel about tearing the whole car apart.

Victor built the car and has been racing Supras for years. He probably knows tricks that Cleetus has never even dreamed of yet. My Supra never ran a low 9 quarter but my top speed was over 180.
Back in 1998 i was going rounds at a show in Norwalk Ohio. I just put the 29.5x10s Mickey et streets on...and they were cutting the wheelwell trim on my 1970 442. Second round i took that tire off, unscrewed the trim, cut the leading edge that was cutting the tire, and went on to win my class.
Dont even ask me about the same trip when the fiberglass come loose from the metal frame of the hood when i screwed 2 tek screws thru the front and put silver duct tape to keep the wind from getting under there. I actually won my class two years in a row at same event with those track mods.
Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do when the sticky tires grow with mph and hit when you didnt account for that

Thanks 4 showing the Haltech on your laptop. This is the first time i paused and looked at the information on the screen. AFR looked low at 1700rpm and weird again in the 5k range. Or did i have the graph upside down? Rip is walking, allmost runnin. And you have to shift gears to keep up with him.

From 3:40 on, that is known as a "Finnegan" in reference to the time that Mike kept having issues launching Blasphemy down the track, only to realize his gas gauge was broken and he was actually out of gas.
When that Supra goes it’s like a rocket.

One the thing I’ll say about Kyles EV versus something like this is Consistency! The Supra is a Rocket when it goes good, but only like 25% of its runs are good. Kyles EV is back to back consistent.
I was a fitter 15yrs we used to use bead sealer ( liquid rubber ) stop air leaks. I used to use it to glue burnout tyres to rims stop em going flat on ratty rims and also stop them coming off. May try it to stop tire slip. I also used to match mount tyre to rim! Static balance just the rim intended balance it to zero then fit tyre static balance that to find heavy spot mark with chalk the turn chalk mark oppostie weight on rim to balance each other out. Even better if can match rim weight to tyre weight (eg: Rim 40gm static tyre also 40gm. turn oppostie zero statiic if done properly no need to balance at all or very little weight.

You guys should go "all in" on this car and keep it stick shift. I know Leroy'd be hard to put on the back burner, but seeing this non v8 / stick shift deal would be pretty interesting to see going through the paces to get faster and faster. It's already quick af but we all know it has at least some left in it as it sits (parts wise). The struggles suck for sure, but it makes it much more relatable, at least from my experiences on trying to make a car quicker and quicker.

Crazy! I believe you were right about it being a shift! If you listen to the in car audio and actually outside, the shift into 2nd ground for a split second! The rest of the shifts were spot on!
