Would've been nice if half of them actually trained how to fight with proper form lol. Seems like a fraction of them even sparred regularly. Dad could've bodied most of them including ppl above his weight, not because his form was perfect, but they would not have been ready for the all in lol
@@OArchivesX homie there are very few people who would have their first public boxing match be in front of this many people, the nerves on this must be intense, cut them some slaxk
This is exactly what influencer boxing needed. No pointless beef, no showboating, just a proper fight from all parties involved. Though I cant help but wonder how hard ricegum would have got his shit rocked had he followed through.
Yeah, after Ian announced that he will box Dr Mike, i felt a instant switch inside my head, like "oh this is on whole new level of Better", and after that switch, ricegum became completely irrelevant to me.
Seeing Michael Reeves in the ring, with his arm being held up, with that smile on his face. Had to be the most proud I've ever felt for another human being.
airsoftfatty vs the national anthem was a great show of determination on both sides, and I thought the national anthem would come out on top but at the end by airsoftfatty got him hard in that 3rd round. Excellent back and forth and congrats to airsoftfatty on his victory! Much love to everyone involved and what a great event!
Airsoftfatty forgetting the lyrics and the crowd singing it for him actually worked out well, and ended up being so much cooler than everyone standing in silence while he struggled to sing. Really cool to see a whole stadium actually singing the anthem, doesn't happen often.
i had high expectations for this event, but you absolutely blew those expectations out of the water. thank you for putting on such an incredible show. i can’t wait for the next one!
Kinda weird he's refunding Sam Hyde's $10k just cuz he doesn't want him at the event. He's taking $10k out of the mouths of starving children, gotta wonder where his priorities are at lol.
@@mash5271 You can't be mad at him for removing pretty much a psycho from his event and giving him his 10k back as if the ENTIRE event wasn't for charity. If Hitler gave me money as a donation I'd give that shit right back.
Honestly Ian would be scared for his life and unable to perform at his best in the ring with his Irish boxing superstar father figure Sam Hyde yelling words of encouragement at him through the ropes from 20 feet away. I would've loved to see Sam fight but if he did it wouldn't be a family friendly event anymore after he soaks the ring with his opponents viscera
I love how serious the refs take this. Not only in their fight performance and protecting a clearly inferior fighter from harm, but also in their overall demeanor. They treat all the fighters like they would the world's top boxers, you can see it when they talk to them or hold the rope for them or announce the score... they are so professional with it and that's not a given in any "this sport, but with celebrities" charity thing that's being done. Kudos to the refs!
@@Asshole666777 I know. But it is *very* common for shows like these to NOT take the sport that is being displayed serious. Have you ever watched a celebrity football (I'm talking about soccer, dear american friends) match for example? The ref is usually not even an actual ref or it's an older retired ref who was famous 20 years ago and their calls are more a part of the entertainment than any actual rules of the game - heck, just last month I saw a game where he handed out four yellow cards to one and the same player (the second one is an automatic ejection, for those who don't know). The opposing team made a big song and dance about that, so he gave ALL of them a yellow card, too. Very funny, everybody laughed and then played on - because it's for charity and the rules of the game don't matter and nobody was _actually_ mad. So I was just saying that I appreciated how these refs did NOT treat it as comedy (even though they must feel at least a bit funny treating a dude who can't land a single blow like Mike Tyson), but had respect for the sport and the amateurs doing it.
That was one of the best most entertaining events I've ever been to. Huge props to all the fighters and everyone else involved. Can't wait for the next one!
Yeah, I just wish Dad had a better opponent... I respect Matt Watson for accepting the challenge but even my grandmother could probably win a fight against him.

Watching this transpire from ricegum half-assedly challenging idubbbz to a fight all the way to the creator clash taking place has been really cathartic, and is indicative of good character on the part of idubbbz. Massive respect from his fans was gained
Good character? Why did he ban Sam Hyde from the event and tell Harley that if he brought in Sam (the man who trained him) that he wouldn't be allowed to fight if he is such a good character?
@@jamends1220 Sam is a public image risk and wouldn't bring a big enough audience to counter the fuckery he could pull for his own gains. @@imma5269 Do you find that surprising? When people have different taste in content than you they tend to find different creators to watch that you might not know about.
Charlie has potential but he was quiet most of the time and only weighed in during breaks in the fights. Charlie doesn't have the quick thinking to do live commentaries. If the professional commentator wasn't there this event would of been real quiet.
Alex and Ryan unironically hugged at least 10 times. That's just how much respect they have for each other. Even saw a couple familiar faces in the stands too. The puns also made me crack up, especially when I heard "Doctor Mike is prescribing these hands" that shit gave me a laugh.
@@jamaljohnson1948 Maybe not "ironically", but I think he meant they were genuine hugs of sportsmanship, rather than just what'd be expected out of showmanship.
@@frumbo7394 oh yea defiantly when Ryan was being interviewed the first thing he said was ''Alex if you listening somewhere out there'' when he was 3 feet to his side but nonetheless this was an amazing fight and a great show of sportsmanship.
Ryan’s will to keep fighting was absolutely incredible! Probably my favorite fight of the night because it was a war. You can see Alex completely shocked Ryan wasn’t going down and the crowd chanting “Ryan” made this a entertaining match!
Unironically watching normal human beings do it and seeing how demanding it was sheds a new light on just how athletic and complex professional level boxing is. Fantastic fights. Watching this made a new fan of the sport, for sure. Awesome event, excellent execution, and really cool to find for free! I was bummed to miss the original stream.
right!? I'm not an athlete in any sense of the word, nor do I watch sports. But as a non-athlete, genuinely speaking, doing those punches even just with the correct form, is NOT easy, even just trying to do it alone in my room. I have joint problems so I'm sure that's related but like... i mean, even just watching Arin's warmup backstage, I was genuinely impressed by his form. It is just for fun, but you can tell they all put in their best effort to prepare and practice. I really hope they do this again, bring some folks back and maybe bring in some new faces. I'd love to see MoistCritikal's Matt match up with Game Grumps' Danny XD two tall skinny dudes just wailin on each other hahhahaha
Bless Harley. You could tell that he had the upper hand in this fight but during round 2, when Arin stumbled, rather than taking that advantage to push in, he waited until Arin had his footing again and even nodded to make sure he was all good before continuing.
Very true. I guess he knew the weight difference was significant so ho held back a lot. Big probs to arin tho for even stepping in the ring despite that fact!
Not gonna lie I kept my expectations pretty tempered for this, but this was genuinely fantastic. I would have loved to have been there in person, super exciting and non-stop fun and interesting match-ups. Some brutally good fights. Especially loved Alex and Ryan's fight, and all the hugs they shared after.
That Ryan v Alex fight was amazing, went the distance and there were good shots the entire fight. Plus, you could tell they're just normal people being gassed out by round 3 and running below empty by round 5. I love these fights
There's something absolutely refreshing about seeing this dumb trend actually step into a space of respect for the sport, where creators aren't fighting because of some bullshit drama, but instead out of a place of mutual respect. Hell, I Did a Thing felt bad midfight when the ref didn't call a stop after Odd1sOut got dazed from a straight. That's what fighting is about. Testing each other's limits and building respect while doing it. Feud fights are stupid as hell, because nothing is gained other than false pride most of the time.
Not to mention every time they touch gloves or just hug at the end of a match. Harley and Erik just straight up praised their opponent at the end of their match instead of hyping themselves up. It's super obvious the connection is to fighting a person.
ryan was definitely my favorite fight. for someone who quit smoking and didn’t have much history in fitness really did amazing. i’m so proud of him and he’s a machine

That was a pretty entertaining fight. I think her problem was that she would start a round with good form but once she threw a punch she wouldn't retract her arm and just kind of kept it where it was and would try to block with outstretched arms. It was definitely an action packed match though. I've been fairly impressed so far with the fights. Like Tyson said "Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth."
I actually gained so much respect when she kept going after she started bleeding. Would have been satisfied with either person winning after that and i was hard rooting Minx at first 😭

Damn that Alex and Ryan fight was spectacular. Dad and Ian put in a tonne of soul as well despite both being in completely unbalanced fights on opposite sides of the coin.
That was a fun match to watch, especially Haley, she learned a better strategy and Minx's moves as the fight went on, unfortunately not quick enough on her feet and bad at blocking that nasty right hook. Both have great potential in boxing, but I think Haley would go further with time, Minx's form was less tight and adaptive.

I would've loved to see Sam fight but if he did it wouldn't be a family friendly event anymore after he soaks the ring with his opponents viscera
Exactly, if I knew the setup would be like this... I would have watched it live and bought the ticket.
Kudos to the refs!
its called doing your job
