However it really just depends how strict the songs record label is

The tip about the cable is really good and true. I made my own cables once with cheap material and had bad signal after a while . Very frustrating then when I decided to re-do my connections, upon splitting the cable I noticed the center wire was powder...literally rust dust. The entire center cable was crowded and rotten lmoa...I bought proper cables right away and haven't had issues since...get good quality cables not crazy expensive but decent. They are worth it

I used to play guitar like 10 years ago then I moved countries and started to focus on other things but now I want to play again and do some recordings and I was always wondering how to do all this setup with interfaces and instruments.
I already have another guitar and some pedals now I need a nice interface. I think im going for the Focusrite Scarlett Solo... is not that expensive on thomann.. and for the software I might use GarageBand and pray to God I wont have troubles syncing the vids with audio using iMovie (Mac user here). I also have a PC but Im more familiar with GarageBand.

This was very informative and thorough! Good for you and congrats on your success! Just curious but was the guitar pitch changed in the vst? It sounded a bit like detuned from the other guitar sound? Cheers

Yes indeed! I forgot to tell you that I used my Whammy DT to record. So the strings are in Drop D, the Audio Signal in Drop C 🙈

Hey great video! Question: do you have the other tracks playing when you do covers? If so, how do you get them without there being vocals? Thank you!

Now that you mention it, a video on Bias would be great. I might tweak a setting here or there, but I never really know what I'm doing. :)

Hi Jassy just found that video while searching for the topic how to find a decent backtrack vor covers. So do you use the original track or do you use one without your to cover guitar track?
Thank you for this good video!

Ansonsten cooles Video! Normal hör ich nicht so begeistert Leuten beim Labern zu.

würdest. Aber frag mich bitte nicht warum ich das denke. Ich hab das einfach im

This is great stuff, Jassy. I had decided to get Reaper and BIAS FX 2, as a friend is using them. Now that I see you are using them, I'm doubly convinced they are the way to go. I was looking at the Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 as well as the Focusrite 2i2, for my audio interface. I hadn't made up my mind yet, but I might go with the one you are using. I was a little surprised to see you weren't using studio monitors though, but to each their own. I'm also on your patreon page, but it made more sense to just ping you here. :)

I see your using a splitter in the software and that only the upper line of the splitter has effects after the amp. I'm assuming this is to give 1 split performance different qualities so there is separation between the left and right guitars?
If so I really like that idea because I think something similar would be great for me to use to get a wider left and right in my improv videos (where doubling tracks isn't really practical/possible).
    Thanks so much for sharing!

Hi! I was wondering if you mix your recorded guitar on top of the guitars from the song you’re covering? Or is there a way to find tracks without the guitar in it and you play on top of it? Sorry, newbie here!

Something like a big srtum will create a big wave in the sound track from your camera on in the track you are recording, that way you can synch better. Final Cut has an option that will automatically synch the video and audio. Nice Video! Grüsse aus Mexiko!

Thanks for this info, I always record & mix down with headphones for the same reason, one question, with that interface, can I use my own effects floor unit( Digitech RP360XP) or do I have to use what's in the interface, I'm so new to this? Thanks, & keep rockin' !!!
