It's entirely different when you have actually met and worked with a person, or people, who pronounce the name the 'correct' way according to their native tongue. One of my favorite youtubers does interviews with people every so often. One of the first questions they ask is 'how do you properly pronounce your name?". People don't mispronounce names out of any kind of malice, they do so because they truly don't know any better.
