I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Jonathan Settel after a major stroke last week. He introduced

Idk why but a childhood memory of this song came to mind. I never knew who wrote this song so I just searched it and this is the exact song we used to sing as kids.
O still remember most of the words too, even tho my Hebrew is rusty at best ha our cantor (David) at the Baruch hashem temple would sing this among the other standards, and he had this amazingly loud, deep, booming voice (he kinda looked like Salvatore Bonpensiero from The Sopranos lol) but when he'd sing, everyone would sing and dance, it was always a fun and new night when he'd sing.

I am from Singapore. We should be in Israel in December. I believe Jerusalem and Israel have a special place in G-d's heart. We will of course be visiting many places. Personally I am more interested in Israel today and look forward to the future, although the past do teach us many things!
I will be teaching this medley. The lyrics are easy enough for those whose Hebrew vocabulary is little more than shalom! I think I just might be able to sort out most of the chords!
