Absolutely wrong...quality matters. I had a cheap local hdmi cable it caused flickering problems when any lights or fans turned on. Initially i thought it was electrical problem but later switching to good quality cable it solved the issue
Some cheap cable will create display issue like when you turn of any other electrical bulb or fan of your room the computer monitor turns black for 3-4 seconds. It happened to me, I was not able to figure out the solution then I came to know it was due to cheap HDMI cable. I replaced with a good one and no problem after 1 year now. So you should see for these issues otherwise picture quality remains same in cheap or costly. 🎉
I wish this guy knew about a thing called resistance and flux interference (eddy currents) Basically cheaper HDMI or any other cables use alluminium which has higher resistance and the wires inside the insulation of cheap hdmi isn't covered with anti-flux interference net. Whereas costly(higher quality) cables come with copper and the anti-flux interference net which helps the picture quality stays as clear as it is transmitted and less laggy
@@geckoop2848 it's not an issue in 1080p resolution. Anything above HDMI 1.4 is good enough for 1080p gaming, and changing to DP 1.4 will change mostly nothing for 1080p gaming since it's overkill. So no worries
It’s depends on the resolution to want to use it for and some laptop these days don’t have the standard hdmi input so you have to buy the mini hdmi instead which is more expensive

@@GizmoddictHindi Thank you for your prompt reply, You suggested "Amazon Basics" cable over a good quality cable 1. It only supports ARC and not eARC, "Aaj ki taarik me I think" eARC hi lena chahiye and it should be by default provided in all the cables. 2. As the length increases the "Signal transfer of 1's and 0's" become less effective, data loss happens and quality can decrease, A "Good quality" cable can be an active cable which will have in built chips that will make sure the signal that is converted will not be corrupted. A "Good quality " cable will have the protections, "Sheathing/ Sheilding" (google it) which will help with prevention of signal interference from other electric components, resulting in good picture quality. 3. The one you suggested can only do 4K @ 60Hz and "aaj ke taarik me I think" 120Hz ka support to hona hi chahiye. 4. LTT might have been providing us incorrect data, but they also provide more knowledge. Have you purchased 10-20 different brand cables, tested them individually, teared them down to see what the cable is made of? 5. Most of the HDMI 2.1 cables listed online are fake and can barely pass 2.0 standard. Some go way back to HDMI 1.4 which are falsely listed and named as 2.1 thanks to our good Neighbours near North-East. 6. If you check the description of the "Amazon Basics cable" It clearly says it is HDMI 2.0 "AAJ KI TAARIK ME AAPKO HMDI 2.1 KE CABLE LENE CHAHIYE" th-cam.com/video/XFbJD6RE4EY/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared Even if LTT provided incorrect data, they did a good research before spreading their false news, "SHOW US YOUR RESEARCH!!!!!"
Even HDMI 2.1 has different types. One should look for data transfer speeds only
