Emily and Mackenyu are totally caught upto OnePiece, while Iñaki is a fresher, caught upto midpoint atleast we assume..while the showrunners Steven Maeda and Writer Turned Showrunner Matt Owens are totally caught up as well..fully committed fans.
My Japanese daughter, who has read through 100 episodes of the manga, said her only complaint about the first episode was that Alvida was too cute compared to the manga.😂

Glad to see more people becoming exposed to this story, idk if this has been explained yet but just in case this adaptation is not "loosely" based off of the manga and anime, its a very faithful adaptation, there are changes made due to time and budget, streamlining and adapting to a new medium but it retains the same overall plot, character development, story beats and heart of the source material, hope you guys continue to enjoy yourselves
The members of the cast that were already One Piece fans (Nami and Zoro) thought it would be IMPOSSIBLE to adapt it. But them, me and everyone I heard of (both fans and non-fans) are so happy with the series. They have confirmed the 2nd season already! The director said that everything from here on makes him anxious on how it will turn out lmao This must be the hardest anime to adapt, but the mangaka is there for ALL the decisions and it shows. Regarding changes, the story and characters are mostly the same. The things that were changed or skipped don't affect the overall thing (for example, the blond guy wasn't as... extra... as he is here but it makes it more enganging to watch). They also decided early on to not spend all their limited money on doing side-things that, despite iconic, aren't required to send the message or emotion across. The biggest thing they changed is "something" time-wise or chronological-wise and won't be able to tell you for now, but it wasn't taken badly either Looking foward to next week's reaction!

Yes. Actually One PIece just became a Jump series because Toriyama. Oda sended 5 pilots (the 5 Wanted One Shots). With different stories. And any one became a series o Shonen Jump Magazine. Just the last one - Romance Dawn - that's basicly One Piece. Toryiama saw and sayed that was very good and the kid - Oda that the time had 21 years old - had a lot of potential. And just so on - after 5 tryes, the Shonen Jump magazine decided to publish One PIece. You can read all the five Oneshots of "Wanted" online - and see how Oda art and story improved. @@daisychong3488

You were right, guys, this show is around 90% from both critics and users on Rotten Tomatoes. It isn't perfect but is the best anime live-action ever made. I know that means shit with the history we have in this genre haha but it's pretty good regardless of that.
Mackenyu Arata, Zoro..is very skilled at swordsplay...he is much more of a celebrity than his fellow cast members, but after playing Zoro, his fans are even more thirsty for him.

They knew that Gol Roger's story is real and that he really existed. His name was Oliverleviasser, a pirate who left his inscriptions so that they could find his treasure, which they are currently looking for in real life because it is considered the greatest treasure of piracy.
The first 51 episodes of the anime are the best for me. Just tearful characters Stories before the big adventure . (51 episode is the first season of this TV Show). --> Reactors like to watch at least those episode to compare to the TV Show, it makes good content. And for me, I prefer the anime differences by far. The drawing style let many more expression in the face of the characters. + it's more in the daylight, compare to the TV Show, where half is film in the night. Many tearful events are way more well done in the anime, with a artstyle of black and white sometimes to put an impact in the attack of a character. More Slow-Motion, so we see the awesome move longer. Beautiful scenery, where the TV Show is in the night. And the TV Show had to cut half of the scenes to quicker the events. Or even changing half of how the events goes. (It's not bad, it's different), but many reactions like the events more in the anime after watching the TV Show.
I tried to watch the original anime a couple times in the past but never could get into it. The pacing is pretty rough and the start of the show is pretty dated. I recently discovered a fan project called one pace which edits out all the filler and increases the pacing by a lot. I think instead of a 1000 episodes they cut it down to 400 something. I am currently watching that version and it is a lot more enjoyable than the original. One piece certainly feels like a show that gets more interesting the longer you watch it.
One Pace doesnt just cut out filler, it cuts out anything those making it dont deem worth it, which many argue is also lessening some of the experience because of the subjective none filler they cut out others enjoyed. In general One Piece has around 200 episodes of actual filler (compared too naruto's 51% filler lol). But episodes in general are fluffed out cuz they are constantly trying not to catch upto the manga making single episodes no pun intended very stretched out some times, for what they cover from the manga.
I just don't understand, just get a filler guide, skip the filler episode if you like and deal with the episode padding. You are just doing the source material a disservice and will be left with questions to things you missed because of it later.

It adapts 1 or less chapter per episode whereas it should have adapted 2-3 chapter per episode just like it did previously. I know the reason why they doesn't do it now but that problem can just be fixed if they make more fillers and let the manga go ahead. Until that problem is fixed , I don't think the pacing of the anime even makes it watchable for the most part. Also, I think most of the people have seen One Pace for Marineford or arcs of those times when their edits weren't that good. For Dressrosa, Wano and Whole Cake; One Pace is as good as if not better than the manga to consume One Piece.

The whole OnePiece community came together to celebrate Helmeppo's Bum, it was surprising even for them. That character is a literal Bum, his chin is Bum shaped in the anime.
Actually the live action is more true to the manga than the anime in some details, for example luffy stabbing himself with the knife under his eyes. in the anime it was changed to tune it down for young viewers

Yeah anime usually has pretty thin lines in general but One Piece does stands out with doing the western cartoon eyes popping out of their heads gags understandable if u dont like that, Exceptions of big names like Attack on Titan has very thick lines. Though something interesting in a later arc in One Piece where they are in a country like Japan they change the lines to be more dynamic to simulate Ink brushes while avoiding being that jittery style like Ed Edd Eddy @@NickyNicole21

Reading the manga or watching One Pace (No filler and good pacing) is the best way to enjoy One Piece.
In the anime the Canon age of Luffy at that timeline is 17, Zoro is 19 and Nami is 18 and Coby is 16

@fivedudes to elaborate I hate the animation itself.. the art itself I can't stand to look at.. nothing against the story or how excited they get or the campy nature the live action gives off just the cartoon style itself I have always hated.. like the transformers cartoon from back in the day couldn't stand it.. I didn't mind a couple pokemon episodes here and there but in general I couldn't do it lol.. aeon Flux was on MTV late night hated that too bc of the animation style.. something about thin lines and boring color pallets drove me nuts
Yeah anime usually has pretty thin lines in general but One Piece does stands out with doing the western cartoon eyes popping out of their heads gags understandable if u dont like that, Exceptions of big names like Attack on Titan has very thick lines. Though something interesting in a later arc in One Piece where they are in a country like Japan they change the lines to be more dynamic to simulate Ink brushes while avoiding being that jittery style like Ed Edd Eddy @@NickyNicole21
