    So much nostalgia, me and my friend used to play Mermail mirrors all the time back in 2013-2014. I love this

    holy moly. After more than 10 years of playing ygo I just noticed the bubble in the art of Abyss-Sphere has a mermaid trapped inside it. Freaked me out.

      it's abysslinde, which 90% of the times is the target of abyss-sphere

    It's always cool for me to see this era of the game being played. I stopped playing at the start of Xyz and came back right before Links became a thing in the TCG, so I love seeing stuff from that era.

    Marcus still counts as an Illinois player in my heart

    Man I love this Mermail era. A bit later when Neptabyss, the Atlantean Prince was announced in the OCG I even theorized a consistent mermail OTK version that was so much fun to play and combo with. sadly that card came way too late to the TCG imho

    Soul Charge is as toxic as ever, but still love this format. Always down for this!

    I still think Leo is an ok card today. It’s very awkward to out and 3100 attack is just big 😂
    This was fun watch; throwback. Didn’t play the game then so nice to see the mechanics of mermail

    Mermail was the first “meta” deck I made, I remember using 3 Whale and all the other awful names (nose, mander, dine, hilde) before I used any deck profiles lol

    Mermail is one of the first combo decks to exist.

    How come red didnt pay the cost for pike before warning?

    • @tjpots9133
      @tjpots9133 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Warning negates the summon. Pike effect is on summon.

    I miss formats like these. The games were so back and forth and simpler lines/combos. Now we have decks like tearlaments having players go to chain links 6 or higher…
