- Olivier Rioux stands at 7'7" tall, making him the tallest teenager in the world. But he knows it takes more than height to be a good basketball player. That's why the Florida commit is putting in extra time at IMG Academy.

Glad he is getting the guidance that will help him to continue to go far.
His voice seems taller 😂
Sounds like Andre the Giant.
😂😂😂 Andre the Giant Voice very deep
I'm pretty sure I can beat him in hide-and-seek😁
😂
😂😂
😁
A.I. generated comment 😂😅😊❤!
I can beat him in picking aluminum cans
Put a lot of muscles on his arms and shoulder. More running drills. More jump hook drills
When he gets the coaching and experience he needs he will be unstoppable.
Loving your height, keep working hard, and it will pay off soon ❤
Go oli im rooting for you man ex b ball player here just remember go out there and have fun first and the rest will come oli
pac never played ball
Thanks mate
Jk he's not me
7 ft 7 what a number! 🤩
Awesome!
And he’s a normal, good looking kid.
Wish for success.
Yea, but why is his voice SO DEEP!?👀
He sounds like Andre'
zach edey and olly on team canada eh!
If he can have a Shawn Bradley type career, that's a win. Shawn was a solid player that got drafted too high. He doesn't have the mobility and coordination that Wemby has, so his value will be as a space occupier, rebounder, and shot blocker.
Remember Yao Ming?
@@RyGuy.. Yao was way more fluid and had better footwork than this guy. I can't see him being nearly as good as Yao.
@@kenstevens7855 True that Yao Ming is more fluid and has a better footwork than Rioux, it's important to remember that everyone has the potential to improve and grow as a basketball player. With a proper coach training and dedication, this young athlete may be able to match or even exceed Yao Ming's skill level.
This is going to be like finding the next Jordan. Everyone who had a 44+ vert was a major prospect. Just scouting super tall guys won’t find you the next Wemby any more than the high jumpers became the next Jordan.
No one is going to point out that they have another person training with him that is also over 7’?!!
I noticed that,too 👍
Yeah this guy is 7’7 and the other guy is 7’1
I'm rooting for you Oliver... I'm Canadian... Come play for the Raptors !!!
Girouds little brother :P
I'm glad they're working with him. Seems like a good fit.
Proves there will never be another Shaq nobody talking about achieving that status
He’s 17
Just being TALL will get him 💰💵
transfer portal to purdue down the road? always need a big man at purdue lol.
he'll play with doncic or joker and win 75 games a season lmao
Future raptor ,
Go to the mavs dude. Is he still growing?
At his age he is, lol. Great white hope
believe so yes
He won't make it in the NBA.
@@AngryRantsAndStuffjealous
@@user-oi3su7sw5n Not in the least. Are you nuts? This kid is going to have a horrible life and die young. Imagine being too tall for everything. You're a putz.
When you're that tall if basketball doesnt work out you can just work in movies
How tall is the couch? ..7 ft?
7’1
Verrry deep voice...
A real nice kid, but not mentally crazy about playing basketball, and that could hinder him.....the big men out there are fast and strong, even young Wemby that is thin is real strong...he needs to work hard at getting in shape and especially is wind running up and down the floor....that's why, if he mentally isn't hooked on basketball it will be twice as hard for him....and also confidence in himself has got to set in so he can fight and accumulate agility and quickness....which is very hard at that heigth....wishing him all the best of luck...
Sounds like Andre The Giant
i know him
They should have a limit on tallness really should because it’s not fun playing those kind of teams, where they have one tall kid set a limit
Thank you for your nonsensical comment.
Watched the video see nothing related to basketball abilities other than 7 foot 7..
Great head of hair.........I wish I just had that...
He's a teenager... it would be wierd if he was bald.
u had it when u were his age
Bro my son is 2 53 cm 8"2'
Your son is a Dwarf. Enough
so much is weird about this post..
You’re a liar.
What?
8 inches 2ft?
Go to Tennessee bro!
Florida would be better for them, Tennessee already has a center and Floridas center is injured so they need a backup. Plus it’s more local.
French canadian
I watched some footage of him playing. He's slow, awkward, and generally untalented at basketball. Trainable, sure. I wish him all the best.
All people that are 7’7 are slow and awkward
@@ogbrayzManute wasn't. Dude fired off three like nothing. Yao was great. Murressan had the highest scoring accuracy.
@@AngryRantsAndStuffI’m sure it took many years of training and experience for them to reach that skill & coordination level. Olivier is 18 and is developing well from where he was just a year ago
Another André the giant! Just don’t drink…
It'll be fun to see his first matchup with Wemby.
He’s a long way from that happening. It may never happen.
HE NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO JUMP BECAUSE HE IS SO TALL HE IS LAZY TO JUMP...
Very strange vocals
He needs to extend his arms up high! He needs shoulder drill. He needs distant hook shots. He needs turn around jumpers. He needs lateral movements or sideward movements. He needs to bump a lot. He needs a lot of training in the gym or else that height will be nothing. All you coaches are just full of mouth! I hate it!
He not tall enough to play. You gotta be 7:8.🏀😅🤣😂
Wemby 's wish
i smell injuries for this young fella unfortunetly :x something looks odd compared to Wembanyama.
you should obviously not compare him to Wembanyama they are not the same player at all
hes more like Yao Ming than Wembanyama
@@sweethart6605 Shawn Bradley really
HIS FOOT SPEED HAS NOT IMPROVED. HIS UPPER BODY HAS NOTNIMPROVED TOO
He does not have any speed unfortunately for the NBA I wish him luck
let's go Montreal Canadians basketball team.
These coaches are clumsy and weak. He need more strength and more hookshot skills. Pivot and turn around jumpers
He is not an NBA prospect. He is unathletic and will get exposed in the league. I have watched him play. His movement is just not very good.
There will always be key moments in crunch time where you might want a guy like that in the paint on defense, or to line up to rebound a missed FT. He can sit at the end of the bench the rest of the game and still be useful to the team.
Why don't WE just hold those assessments untill " Smalls " at least completes his collegiant campaign as a Gator ? Lets all come back here in 2 yrs .
@@atomicpunk520 That's true. He looks pretty well proportioned- not a string bean, and fairly agile for his height. If he works unbelievably hard in the weight room and on the court who knows?
Until it is
Give him time, he just turned 18 this month on the 2nd. I mean, Shawn Bradley wasn't that athletic either and he did pretty good in the league. With modern training and nutrition, he'll be alright.
7’7 Sloth
sultan kose 2 51
what is "two five-one"....
@@user-cn8nu6lq4w 2 meters 51 cm
These coaches does a lot of mouth works...he needs rigid training! ignorants!
Too slow for a basket player.
ball
Have you ever seen anyone 7'7 that can run atleast 20mph? or jump atleast 30 inch vertical? Obviously no because their bones are weak and they are prone to injuries
@@jajijaiaiajjai9040 Their bones aren't weak at all.
...also almost no one can run 20mph. 30" vert is higher than the average NBA player.
That said, young Shaq, Wilt. (Obviously 6" shorter, but.)
@@user-cn8nu6lq4w im talking about 7'7, their bones are fragile because of their genetics
@@user-cn8nu6lq4w Ehh, 20 mph is the at least minimum speed for college so it isn't that rare but it is true that tall people's bone are fragile because their bones are too small to support their own weight
Slow, no real athletic ability other than being tall. Not an nba player now or in the future..
Why do 7+ feet prople taunt people who are half their size when they dunk on them? You just have to stay and put it in the hoop lmao
what are you talking about?
For one thing there are only like 2800 7 footers in the world, for another, he's not doing that ? lol.
Want some cheese with that wine?
Would somebody please tell me why white athletes just don’t have the ability to jump, look how tall this young man is and my son is sixteen years old and I no he can out jump, out run him I just don’t get it.
I dunno bruh. Ask Jordan Kilganon
