Try Elvanse!! If the xaggatin isn't doing it for you (I was on xaggatin as well at first) they should put you on Elvanse which is proven to be a more effective medication, the reason it isn't offered as a first line medication is because of its cost to the NHS. If you need any advice or more detail about it lmk!
Hey Marcus, thank you, I've actually received my Elvanse now I'm just waiting to swap.. I'm a bit concerned about trying a new one and my psychiatrist said it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a break in between Xag & Elvanse so I'm aiming for this weekend and then on Monday try them, but I already know I'll feel anxious about going to work on them so maybe i might need to take the first one Sunday. How did you find the transfer over?
I stopped Xaggatin also trying elvanse now and 2 weeks in it’s very effective compèred to Xaggatin better side effects and reduced stress and anxiety better connection and thinking time. Also it eased the appetite
Oh really?! Hmm, I really would love to try another one now and for the first time my Psych did mention it but I already had a delivery on it's way so I might say I'm up for a change once I need to re-order in a few weeks. Is Elvanse still a methylphenidate?
@@SianKatie no it works differently and is way more expensive but honestly it’s really improved everything that xaggatin created. As I say I’m time served with methylphenidate and this really pisses over it… I’m nearly 28 days in now and really feel and see the benefits. Also it dosnt suppress your appetite
@@My-Name-is-Trigger-The-GSD Oh wow, such a glowing review! Hope it continues like that for you. I'll definitely name drop it when I next place an order.
@@SianKatie yes have a read up on it if you haven’t already it basically makes xaggatin look placebo. So I was on 54mg and it made me really anxious, scared and really angry and literally took my appetite away from me. The lesser dose didn’t do much for me past 12 onwards daytime…. The Elvanse is £95 per 28 tablets. But they do work and this is the starting dose so I’ll see how it goes. I hope your feeling well. WnT are You taking MG wise
Oooo no but that sounds wonderful! I think I’d like to try that! I have a taste of that with work from home one day and in the office the next which does really help. I really feel a huge benefit from a 3-day weekend too.. I’ll consider this, thank you for the suggestion
Just done a month on Xaggatin XL 54mg this month and I'm still having no luck with my ADHD symptoms. I wasn't expecting it to be a cure all but I thought it would make it marginally easier to cope. Do you ever get anxious when people ask you to go out of the house and do things spare of the moment..and then if they cancel it's like you can finally relax again.
Wow a whole month on 54mg you boss! I'm sad to say I have not been that successfully in consistently taking my meds. 😵💫 I think it could potentially be time for us both to try something new because I've also not seen any consistent results. Some people really rave about them so it's worth trying another option. Yes, that's something that I have struggled with for a while, I love a cancelled plan, even if it's something really fun, I love it, and I feel so bad saying that. Unfortunately because of my many more pressing struggles, I've not really looked into it much so don't have any suggestions of removing that anxiety, I'm kind of hoping the more I don't face up to it as a "problem" and just go to things that I have planned the easier it will get. Let me know how you cope with those situations!
@@SianKatie I bought a pill dispenser to help with my meds and it really helps. I try to take them at 8/9 am ish but often stay up till that time and end up forgetting which sucks. I think you're right sometimes just trying to go with the flow and see how things pan out is the best move. Added you on Instagram btw
I’m hoping someone can help me on here. I’m on Xaggitin and only 18mg but I think I’ve got a few bad side effects and just got a new job. Worried it might be worse to come of them just now with new job. Make me worse , anyone know if it is ok to come off them without to much difficulty.
Hey, 18mg isn’t a super high dose so you should be okay taking a break or having some days off, I don’t think I’ve really noticed the full effects of stopping until a few weeks after not taking anything. Could you speak to the person who prescribed them about trying something different?
Hey! Hmm, to be honest I haven't experienced that, have you noticed it's when they're wearing off or not long after you've taken them that you feel hungry? They sometimes given out to people to help with binge eating (I've read) so the opposite effect I haven't heard being very common. Maybe keep a diary of how much you take and how you feel. I always feel different depending on where I am in my cycle too.
Yes I do! I always use it when I write my name or receive letters or anything official just not on social media because I don’t really like the way it looks online :)
Oh wow thank you that’s a huge compliment 🥰 I have had that said before I think it’s the bone structure, having a heart shaped face and the nose maybe.
No thanks! My vitals are too healthy to start filling my body with rotten animal flesh, animal breast milk & chicken periods 😬 I had my fill of breast milk when I was a baby like a normal person 🙃

Hi. I just started taking it but unfortunately it makes me so hungry. Is that normal? Thought would help losing weight since I’m so obese 😩
