Did you grow up in the 2000s? I have a weird sense of familiarity and nostalgia when I watch/listen to this too. I do think it's possible that old channel Discovery Kids aired reruns of it for a short period of time but not quite sure.
They either are already all digitalized or will never be; tape media is not fabricated anymore for industrial use, and their recordings wear out over time. If they aren't digitalized, they're lost forever.
A handful of them are already on DVD. Don't know what developin' country you're living in where they ain't no 80s cartoons on DVD but stuff like He-Man, G.I. Joe, the OG My Little Pony nobody gives a shit about, etc have been on DVD for years and are currently available via streaming if that's something you do (unless you're one of them dinosaurs who sees streaming as evil)

As many 80's kids know, Saturday morning was a marathon of cartoons. 5 year old me... hated this show. It aired towards the tail end of the shows on my local tv network. It was a reminder that it was almost noon and my cartoon binge was over. Now on retrospect this show looks like it had above average animation quality, though I still can't vouch for the story.

Playhouse Video released a few VHS tapes of the 1983 cartoon including the feature film. They are now distributed by Sterling Home Entertainment, Sony BMG Music Entertainment and Random House Home Video.
Watching it now as an adult I can see almost every element of the intro is in 3D, characters included. They have their robot-like moves, but those moves are subtle, not exaggerated so I've never noticed it before (maybe because I didn't even knew as a kid this technique even existed). It was all just hand-painted frame by frame afterwards. Outro on the other hand is almost all traditional 2D.
I am realizing things I enjoyed as a child seem kind of weird to me as an adult. The cartoon looks scary and slight disturbing to me. Human like with tails. What's wrong with having an opinion? I also find the song, "Figure eight" from school house rock is slight frightening. Sorry if you felt insulted!
