My district just had millions of dollars taken from the education budget this year while the other civic departments refused to take a pay freeze 😒

I pay insurance for my dog ... I'm not going to have a pet and not take care of it. Most ppl have to ask their kids for help. My dog is my workout buddy, those days I don't want to get up and run, I can look at him & I'm at the park running around enjoying outside with him.

My daughter got a dog at 16. She cared for the dog while at home. Now that she is at college, I have the dog. She can't seem to find an apartment that accepts pets. I give her the side eye every time she says that.

I went to a predominantly black private school but even with that they only taught"the top five" my senior year of HS I took African American History class & it was the best thing ever! It was sad it was my introduction to Emmitt Till y'all my heart shattered.

I loved the baby phase with my kids. Big kids are trash to me. But I think it’s bcuz I had my children extremely young. My patience was AMAZING! I’m enjoying helping my ex husband and his wife with their daughter and a new baby coming in the fall and I’m excited. The best part now is they go home. So love the show, you all are funny, charismatic and real. So here is my question if anyone can answer? My son has two brothers who aren’t my kids and me and his mom aren’t even together. I first met my son when he was two years old after never knowing he existed. About 5 months after meeting him she sent him to live with me. She was living in Vegas and I in Georgia. I had no issues with that, it was welcoming. Fast forward three years and she moves here with her other two kids here to GA. Perfect now he gets to be raised by both of us. So my son just turned 7 June 26th, and whenever I’m picking him up after the weekend from his mom to come back home, she gets mad. Her issue is that I’m not taking all of the kids just my son. So my question is (finally) do you think I should be taking all of them? Caring for all of them, or even taking responsibility or having a hand in raising them? They aren’t my children and I only have the means and patience for my son! Now she is trying to take full custody from me, and the reason being that I treat them differently. She thinks its not fair that I only buy him things and take him places, and involved in his life, but the other kids aren’t getting that from me. Again they aren’t my children, her and I aren’t together and I simply don’t want to. From one father to another, give some insight.

I know traditional school isn’t for every child. My kid was not into sports and not into the social clubs. He was bullied so badly, I had to pull him out of the district. He also works better working on his own pace because he is intelligent. Had I not moved him out of traditional school, I don’t think he would finish school.

So my question is (finally) do you think I should be taking all of them? Caring for all of them, or even taking responsibility or having a hand in raising them? They aren’t my children and I only have the means and patience for my son! Now she is trying to take full custody from me, and the reason being that I treat them differently. She thinks its not fair that I only buy him things and take him places, and involved in his life, but the other kids aren’t getting that from me. Again they aren’t my children, her and I aren’t together and I simply don’t want to. From one father to another, give some insight.

I know traditional school isn’t for every child. My kid was not into sports and not into the social clubs. He was bullied so badly, I had to pull him out of the district. He also works better working on his own pace because he is intelligent. Had I not moved him out of traditional school, I don’t think he would finish school.

I am from St. Thomas USVI. In Jr high and high school we learned both carribean and us history. I was shocked that was not the standard here in the US. It did however answer why I would be asked such ignorant questions like "do I swing from trees and eat coconuts all day". We selling our children short by only teaching on kind of history in high school.
