Can I prune my fuchsia in the middle of summer? It dried a little because of the heat. I cut off all the dry leaves and some dead branches, but there are some that are long and dry, but still alive in the middle. So, can I cut it down like this now, or wait until next spring?

Yes you can since it's not producing flowers

Do you add some fresh soil at this point or repot your pruned fuchsias?

I repot if I feel that it may be root bound. It is a good idea to dig half an inch on the top and mix in some compost or sloe releasing fertilizer
