Many horses have issues with sticking their tongues out. In this video, JJ introduces us to Dom Perignon, whose mouth anatomy and likely injury as a foal, as well as previously being held too tightly in the right rein, have contributed to his habit of pushing his tongue out the right side of his mouth.
JJ firmly believes that tongue problems can be solved by correcting the underlying issue: Throughness. By solving the throughness problem and consistently working to show the horse that the bit is a friendly place, the horse can learn to quietly and softly chew the bit, with his tongue IN his mouth!
