I went to ragiguda temple in Bangalore recently. I felt disheartened to see how it is converted to jail with railings. I request people to make our temples open spaces and also have big hall with good quality chairs so people are treated well. Our temples must also start owning atleast one school and one hospital.

As a first step, we request the Supreme Court to consider the following: 1. Treat Hindu religion and temples on par with minority religions and their places of worship. 2. The above would mean that the temple money can not be taxed, used or spent on any other purposes - government can have only supervisory rights to prevent misuse of temple funds / functioning. No fee would be paid and facility like cars, expenses etc. could be provided at government expense only. 3. Electricity charges should be same like that of mosques and churches. 4. Temple funds could be used to start schools and colleges with independent Indic curriculum. 5. Hindu religion can be propagated freely including admitting others into Hinduism proper. 6. Temple funds could be transferred to other temples having fund crunch or requirements. 7. Government would have no say on sampradaya, appointment of Purohits or temple artists etc. 8. if any disputes, courts would decide legality & governments should not have any say - like in minority worship places. 9. On these lines can Shri. Sai Deepak initiate such a case & win it for us?
