You saved me brother. No even bad instructions were included with mine. Had it together in no time and god bless the internet and especially you for a great concise review!! Cheers mate!!
Thank you so much for this video - the assembly instructions are worthless and without your video this would be on its way back to Amazon .I can usually get my head around instructions but not these so I searched you tube in desperation and thankfully found yours
Brilliant, fantastic video Russell, I see what you mean about the instructions! I'm so glad that there are people out there, like yourself that take the time to share your knowledge. Thank you.
Just bought one and followed your instructions, lot easier then looking at the book. Made sure all connections were tight and no problems. Thanks for hhe video. Very helpful.
Couldn't agree more about the poor assembly instructions, but once I did get it together and working, I don't know what I've been doing all these years without one. Excellent video Russell - couldn't have been more straightforward!
Exceptional review, one of the most professional and well put together videos I've seen! Plus you are easy to listen to. Bought that sprayer over here in Ireland, and you've saved me a world of pain...well done and keep up the brilliant work!
Thank you so much for this video. The directions that came with it are completely unreadable without a magnifying 🔎glass. With your help it took less than 5 mins. Thx again
Love the “Do the thistle!” Comment 😆 honestly when I bought this gadget I despaired at the ‘distructions’ because they are absolutely dreadful as you say - thank you so much for helping to make a nightmare into a pleasure!
Mrs. P. keeping an eye on me! LOL. Glad I could help Sarah. If you found the thistle comment funny take a look at this: th-cam.com/video/SGF69fgBu04/w-d-xo.html She is the best! :-)
You have done the world a great service. Your instructions saved me hours. Very clear and straightforward. Thank you so much. And the product is highly effective.
Nice one Russell - just arrived today to help me spray clean my artificial grass and replace a small hand held pump spray that wasn't large enough to do the grass in one sitting plus meant I was hunched over most of the time. Video defo made the difference so Thanks and I made sure it was all score before use. First test run - its pretty good.
Brilliant just saved an argument with the husband who said these instructions are worst can’t do it 🤣so showed him this and yey it’s done thank you so much
I Was starting to wonder why I’d so many bits left over until I watched your video, thank you for the video it was very helpful and certainly a lot better than the instructions provided, here’s hoping I’ve tightened everything up properly
Thank you so much why on earth they could not ship it fully assembled is baffling I have a first class honors degree in physics and I looked at the instructions and had no idea what was going on. My wife was just laughing at me ranting about assembly instructions. You have saved the day
Hi Russell, Just to echo the comments below - as you say, the instructions included are truly dreadful, so to be able to follow your very clear guidance was a godsend....thank you. Had it operational in ten minutes and it is an otherwise great bit of kit. All the best. R
Thank God for this video and thank you. What a completely hopeless set of instructions, Oregon should be ashamed of themselves, or as their instructions would say 'ashamed your themselves fastening instructions then spray'. I'm very competent mechanically and can build anything, until the Oregon Backpack sprayer!!!!! Your instructions were perfect, I was looking at these strange fittings and couldn't fathom them out, I wasn't even close and I was just about to split pin the pressure bar when I thought about youtube and found this life saver of a vid. put together in 5 minutes and spraying happily so thanks again.
LOL, I know what you mean about the instructions Pete, I had a job figuring them out too. Oregon should be ashamed of themselves! Thanks for taking the time to leave such a great comment, makes it all worthwhile :-)
Sorry Peter, I never thought about that. Line up the holes and push the split pin through until the eye stops it going in any further. The other end of the pin is two pieces side by side. Usually, one piece is slightly longer than the other. bend one piece one way and the other in the opposite way to make a `Y' or `T' shape. This will stop the pin fron falling out. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Split_pin#/media/File:Cotter_Pin_(PSF).png :-)
Thanks for this. I was assembling mine and getting confused with the instructions! After 6 years, they still haven't made it user friendly! Now the user manual is 96 pages with all the different languages! but only 2 pages are "somewhat" useful.
There are several products out there that may fit the bill. Try searching for 'Worx cordless cleaner' or ' Karcher OC3'. My Karcher pressure washer (K4) has a filter adapter to allow it to be used with a standing water supply like a rain butt, bucket or pond. If you are able to collect rain water at the garage that may be an easy solution. Good luck in your quest! :-)
It is not bad. If you get one of these you need to make sure that all connections are tight before using it each time. It has been very handy and is great for covering larger areas. :-)
Russell Platten great cheers. I’ve got a large 500m2 roof to treat with biocide. Not something I do really but as a one off as a builder. Cheap but effective for me is key👍
Thanks for the assembly tips ... supplied instructions where awful and printed so small it was impossible to read them. On the up side it is a Great sprayer. Thanks bud
@@RussellPlatten Cheers. Mine used to squeak like yours when I got it last year but when I used it this week my goodness it was loud and still is.......
I really need to thank you for this. While I didn’t buy an Oregon, my Chinese knockoff is pretty much the same thing. I assume, actually, that the Oregon may also be made in China. Anyway, the ‘diagram’ instructions are beyond bizarre, and the identification of parts, like ‘shower cap’ or ‘locotor sleeve’ would be laughable, if you didn’t need to understand what they were. I followed your instructions, and aside from extra o rings, was also left with a white saucer looking thing with a big hole in it. I’ll either find out where this is meant to be, when I use this thing, or not. Anyway, thank you, thank you, thank you. I never would have figured this out if it wasn’t for your video.
I don`t think the instructions are that complicated, my main gripe in any instructions is where they call a part one thing in the assembly instructions and the same part something else in the list of parts just when you want to check you`re using the correct part.
I take it you have bent the straight ends back once you gave inserted the split pins Michael? Push the pin through the hole and bend the two ends back so that the pin makes a Y shape and cannot be pulled out of the hole. Sorry if you are already aware of this and the problem is that the eye is too small. :-)
They are a little uncomfortable, but for me the capacity makes up for it. I can cover a large area with one tank full and it is not too bad as far as comfort goes. :-)

LOL. Glad you found it Amour! :-)
Great video ta, was wondering if you could advise if this would be any good for rinsing down a motorbike.
Personally, I would not use it for that as it does not generate any real pressure and there is not enough flow. :-)

Is there a control to release the pressure after use (without unscrewing the big filler cap) ?

I bought a 16 litre version of this. Is it normal for it to make a strange noise when pumping the handle to build up pressure?
You can hear the noise mine makes at 4:30 on the video. :-)
