What I love about Matthew is that in interviews, he tries to interact with everyone. He'll look at the host, the audience, the other guests, he tries to engage with everyone, he's just that polite.
That's a practical charismatic goal

Zack Foster when someone refers to themselves in the third person it's usually a sign of mental illness. Or he or she is so full of themselves. Narcissists and egotists refer to themselves in the third person. Frankly I think it's creepy as hell

A bit late to the party... but. At 1:53 he says he lost "3.5 pounds per month" but it actually is "3.5 pounds per *week*". Such commitment to do that... impresive

Arc Kocsog I'm American and know how to convert the Imperial unit of pounds to kilos. Kilos is roughly half as much as pounds. I also know the Stone unit is roughly 12-13 pounds.

Julianne Moore is always such a good listener, she seems really care when other guests are telling their stories which is really nice.

I can appreciate that dedication from McConaughey, there are those actors out there that kind of seem to make movies for the hell of it, but you can tell McConaughey intends to send a real and legitimate message in a lot of his movies(obviously this is limited to the serious ones), whether it's Interstellar, Dallas Buyers Club, We Are Marshall, etc.
Absolutely agree with you...like how Brad Pitt - apart from getting shredded & buff for films such as "Fight Club" & "Troy" - even had one of his teeth chipped for the role of Tyler Durden in "Fight Club" by removing a previously applied veneer for an actual, chipped tooth...director David Fincher talks about it in the commentaries...

five ounces of fish , couple of vegetables twice a day, some pudding in the morning , and as much red whine id like tonight , and it was small amount and i gave myself four months to do it ;) that's a hardcore diet ;)

I think he miss spoke when he said he lost 4.5 lbs a month, I think he meant 4.5 lbs a week.
The way he speaks even about the mundane and makes it poetic is just wow.
yeah its a hardcore diet, but he particularly did not have anything else to do, just focus on this diet. Real hardcore, when you live your everyday life and try to stick to your diet.

I loved how he denoted his responsibility to the part, his roles, he is portraying in the film; authenticity is among his greatest assets to his craft as an Actor, one that I can respect

Matthew McConaughey's a credible actor see films such as Killer Joe, Wolf of Wall Street (cameo role) and the upcoming Interstellar and i'm not gonna change my opinion...Who would you cast this i've gotta see.

Either Matthew McConaughey or I are bad at math. At the beginning he said he lost 47 pounds. However, he turned right around and said he lost 3.5 pounds a month for 4 months. That's 14 pounds. He must have meant to say either 14 months or 3.5 pounds a week.
Given what he listed as his daily diet, it has to be 3.5lbs per week, not month. He probably got tongue-tied or mixed up or something - happen to all of us but most people know what we mean lol

One of the main reasons why Tom Hanks didnt work for me in Philadelphia - he just looked way to healthy and relied on unconvincing make up to make him look ill and frail
