I got the 3anc Betweens and coming from the MTW 3, hearing multiple people talk about how great the sound quality is and even going as far as to say the sound quality is greater than the mtw3, sony, bose ect. I was excited for these but once i tried them out i was highly disappointed. Its good sure but just a worse version of the fantastic sounding MTW3, only thing that these stand out from the rest is how loud they are and how awkward they look. I know this is an old post Keith, but I'm hoping you might see it. My Between Pros have developed an out of warranty fault, so I'm looking to replace them on a budget. Have read about, and watched videos of the Sony WF-C500, i thought I'd give them a try and they just sound hollow compared to the Between Pros. Seeing as I 100% agree with you about the Between Pros, meaning we must appreciate the same qualities, is there anything you could suggest as a replacement that gets close to these? I'd really appreciate your opinion, I am now returning a third pair of headphones. Thanks in advance.

I bought the OG between pros and they might be the worst headphones I’ve ever bought. They had HUGE connectivity issues. They would never disconnect when being put back in the case. They would connect randomly from within the case. Was a massive shame as the sound was incredible. Also single use mode was just so buggy. I hope that whoever buys these posts a long term review because I would love to trust this company again. The sound was just so incredible.

I agree! There are plenty of great low-cost earbuds on the market that do a great job. I have owned plenty of them. And like a lot of consumers out there I DO NOT have a Goose that lays Golden Eggs either. For me a good quality EQ(Graphic Equalizer) app was a must to produce the sound I wanted. Bluetooth suffers greatly(and still does) at transmitting audio. One thing that really helped was a large driver (11mm +). But it took more power to work. Battery life suffered. As battery life improved so did my interest. As many moons pasted I was more willing to invest in bigger and better goodies. I’ve tried the $400 - $500 buds and always made sure there was a “RETURN POLICY” in place. A lot of Wind Up the Skirt and back they went. I tried and bought the Original “Between Pro’s through a KICKSTARTER promo and was somewhat disappointed at first. But with the help of my trusty EQ I mastered them and they became my number one’s for a long time. Apple Air Pod Pro 2’s we’re a fluke. A bunch of Gift Cards paid for them. OK product… They lack Bass without an EQ. I guess the moral to the short story is: You can really stretch a dollar out there. Just look for the right tools to get the job done.

Waiting for mine to be delivered...love listening to the Grateful Dead Live shows I'm super stoked to try them.
I have these earbuds and they are AWESOME as far as sound. I have YET to get the buttons to work when answering a call. I always have to get my phone out to answer a call. I also have the Between Pros first and they are also very good.
They dont sound as crisp and clean as my Sennheisers. (With Eq settings customized)
Only thing i would say is that they do have great mic quality but thats about it. I just returned these and went for the B&o Ex
Keith, better than the Nura true pros. Right now those are what other TWS buds have to beat. Thanks Keith.
thos pos are always sold out.....probably suck anyways
Seriously? You think it sounds better than the Nura true pros even after setting your preferred EQ settings and Spatial Mode? Does that mean it's as good/better than the Beoplay EX and the Bowers & Wilson PI7 as well? (In terms of sound quality)
I say, if an earbud can trick your brain into thinking you aren't wearing earbuds because the sound is so open, its a keeper
Just picked these up in the bone color. I've heard nothing but great things so I'm excited to put these up against the WF-1000XM4s
Im still deciding out of those two options , from your experience which one would you recommend? Based on sound quality and features?
@@Cakezters features are essentially the same, ANC and transparency mode with an EQ band in the app. The sound from the Status is far better in my opinion, I also like the bumped up volume because I work in a loud environment. And for me personally, the XM4s don't fit my ears very well. I tend to get sore after just a couple hours and the weird shape even made my ears bleed when I put them in the way Sony wants you to. I'd recommend the Status, you'll know where the extra $50 went
@@gasolinekiss brother just wanted to say thank you because, the 3ANC just came in today. And I am in awe on how clear these sound plus the EQ settings help me get the perfect settings. Appreciate your input!!
@@Cakezters no problem homie! Glad I could be of some help, and I hope you keep loving them like I have so far
@@Cakeztershave u had any issues with the 3anc?
Ok, G. I heard you. *adds Between 3ANC to cart*
Haha
I've been waiting for someone to review these! Thank you, Keith!
In terms of fit, volume and ANC, how do these compare to the Sennheiser TWS Momentum 3's?
Love these…they just stick out so much!
Damn, the mic sounds really good
True
I want them but I’m stuck on waiting for the wf1000 xm5
Hell yeah, dude brought out Spiritbox
When the anc is turned on they distort at high volumes
After a year with these one word: the best! No a single issue and that sound…. Well try them and you’ll know
Ok...I need some new ones? This is it? Lol. I'll check this and that recent top 5 you just did too.
How this compare to samsung buds 2 pro or the airpods 3 gen?
Thanks for the sharing. They look very appealing
Can you listen to them without the other? Like use the left earbud while the right one is charging? I have the Bose’s and the right side is the only side that works
I gotta admit, I was on the fence, are these the real deal, or overhyped? Well, Amazon just had a flash sale, so for $129 I’ll find out for my damned self. Thanks for the detailed review.
Did you use the Original Between Pro custom EQ for this review, or a different one (via the app) when comparing to the original Between Pro earphones?
Looking to get new true wireless. I need something that sounds great but also has good call quality.
I work in an office, lots of people on the sales floor and my current pair annoy my wife because she hears the ambient public noises more than my voice.
Do you think these can handle taking a call in the grocery store or in the car?
I know this is an old post Keith, but I'm hoping you might see it. My Between Pros have developed an out of warranty fault, so I'm looking to replace them on a budget. Have read about, and watched videos of the Sony WF-C500, i thought I'd give them a try and they just sound hollow compared to the Between Pros. Seeing as I 100% agree with you about the Between Pros, meaning we must appreciate the same qualities, is there anything you could suggest as a replacement that gets close to these? I'd really appreciate your opinion, I am now returning a third pair of headphones. Thanks in advance.
On a budget check out the Moondrop Space Travel and also the SoundPeats Engine 4
@@OfficialGamesky Thanks man. I just returned the Space Travel! The app didn't work with the iPhone and I wanted just a touch more bass from them. Watching your review of the Opera 5 and very tempted, but I'm wondering if I should just wait, save and get the Between 3NC.
Are these worth the upgrade from the original Between’s?
Did u not compare the audio codec between these and the pro's?
How do these sound compared to the tozo golden x1 you reviewed a few months ago? Are these $150 better sounding?
Nice review, everyone that review these so far loves the sound quality. I just can't understand why they had to design them so weird. Which other earbud would you recommend that comes close to this one with sound quality & bass?
weird? it's a very efficient shape, and last time I checked you can't even see them when you are wearing them
@@joeromack6188 I'm not sure which earbuds you're referring to. Based on what you're saying it sounds like you're referring to something like the sony linkbuds S
@@joeromack6188 can’t see these? Not sure about that, they stick out more than any other bud. Like Frankenstein bolts! But sound quality may trump the odd shape for some
I bought the OG between pros and they might be the worst headphones I’ve ever bought.
I’m hoping that the 3anc has fixed the previous issues. I’m really debating on pulling the trigger
@@u093154 good luck if you do pal!
You said you got the OG ones, the ones that come with the case that has the original design? They made an updated version of the case which is better
Are these good for use in the gym? Do they stay in ears well?
Why would you critique the sound signature and when it’s customizable? Makes no sense. If you don’t like the harshness, turn down those frequencies and give it a 10.
Oh yeah..why hasn't there been a Soundcore Liberty Pro 4 yet? Should be out yet..those new JBL pro 2 seem to be excellent....haven't released yet though.
You keep saying Bose and Sony, so of the 3 which one is best for music?
For music I like the Status earbuds the most
What headphones would you give a 10 to for hip hop?
What’s the loudest, best sounding earbuds in your opinion?
These seem like a more affordable, better alternative to the final ZE8000, wow
are they better than the latest airpods?
hope I'll buy it soon
Dang that sucks......& Perfection I love your review, you answered all my questions.
Idk why u get buds w excellent SQ butt the bass takes a hit or big boom & Sound Quality takes a hit. So far out of Sony, Bose, Beats, etc... Jabra's the only buds I experienced w a decent overall sound.....& an app w an EQ so you could change the sound to your liking
How does the volume control work? Dose the volume in crease or decrease as long as you hold on the right or left ear bud or does it just in crease or decrease one notch and then stop?
if im on an airplane or something, could i make beats with these with reasonable accuracy??
Good earphones cant look like a broken vacuum cleaner
Are you saying the sound better than the Sennheiser CX Plus?
Been looking for a great pair of earbuds since, i have used Beats studio buds, beats fit pro and airpods pro 1st gen....none seem to reach the sound quality i need
this is definitely up there when it comes to sound quality
Really?
That's great news then!
Looking forward to getting one
I never really cared for Streaming Music Services like Apple Music, Spotify, etc. But with these ear buds streaming sounds so much better in my opinion. I own the old Between Pro's and loved them. Now I have the 3ANC's and all I can say is WOW!...
so can u do some pc tutorial, which codec it uses cus i highly doubt it's Hi Res or Ldac. is there an enhanced audio bluetooth dongle or anything
I am interested - will they be available in the EU?
Can you compare the bass to the 75t and Sony extra bass buds ?
How is this in terms of sound quality compared to the nuratrue pro?
I have them both and I personally give the Status Between 3ANC the edge. I have a ton of high end earbuds but actually my 2nd choice would be the Oppo Enco X2s because they contain a Planar Magnetic ribbon driver (found in some high end Home Theater speakers) along with an 11mm dynamic driver. No EQ in the app BUT they behave nicely with 3rd party EQ apps.
@@dzmj3407 thanks for the response. Not sure why the reviewer himself couldn't respond considering that the nuratrue pro is a earbud he already reviewed.
@@dzmj3407 do you tested them with an iphone or an android? Do they sound better with an android?
I have over 30 earbuds and over 40 headphones over the ears and i have never heard of oppo enco yet. My top choice are: 1. B&O EX…. 2. Sennheiser momemtum 3 tws….. 3. BW Pi7 s2
If anyone has a question, you can ask me if you want it would be a pleasure. I speak french so i try my best in english (i am near bilingual)
@@Patrickmathieu0482 Wow, that's crazy (40 pairs of earbuds). I have around 30 of them myself so I should be quiet! Lol. I have a Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus and a Google Pixel 7. I like Android phones because they give you more flexibility as far as bluetooth audio codecs. I'm hoping to get the B&O EX earbuds on a Black Friday day sale or something.
@@Patrickmathieu0482Where's the sony in your list?
This supposed to have sound bleed or nah cuz I had mine for a good bit now and just noticed it has crazy sound bleed.
Gamesky Thanks Much !
Do you think the status between pro is a good buy at it's current price of 99 usd?
Absolutely
I'm really thinking about these. I'm not an audio person like that. But almost there all headphones sound like shitt when you play metal. I mostly listen to deathcore and want something that can make it sound crisp. Does anyone here listen to extreme metal with these? I feel like that should be a huge factor in headphones review. You know cause all tje different layers
So do they sound better than the Nuratrue Pro?
Status 3 Anc or Tozo X1 for Anc and Sound Quality ?
Can you compare better OnePlus buds 2 pro and nothing ear 2?
My old school AirPods survived an entire wash cycle in my pants, my between pros got wet while on a run in the rain and til this day gives me problems. Not only that, it has several other Bluetooth issues. Already had to troubleshoot it 3x. Go Bose. Good sound quality but poor build. More like IPx1-2
Well done dude. Sold. 🤘🏼
Are these better in your opinion than the Soundcore liberty 3 pro?
way better
@@nodoubt46ableUmm...how are they WAY better? The Liberty 3 Pro's are pretty freaking great.
Great review!
How do you rate them against the recent Sennheiser buds?
I got the Momentum 3 for $175. They were on sale for memorial weekend. I would definitely be interested in a comparison.
Looks like something you buy from a gas station for 10 bucks
Nice review as always. 👍
I chose the Status 3 anc over the Sony xm5. I think these sound better but sony fits better and way way better noise cancelation
ey these earbuds right here... ive done my research and theyre the only ones really doing it with the triple armiture drivers... next level sound.. def a little salty i didnt wait on these.
are they better than the nuratrue pro?
Depends on your sound preference. These are more detailed and brighter. Nura has them on bass though
It's a real shame that all these "BIG NAME COMPANIES" don't premote some kind of trial period to help premote their claims of superiority?...
How is the bass on them?
Awesome. Everything is perfect about these
They are not $200 on their site. They are $249. This video just came out yesterday
Hey dude, thanks for your review, I'm sure they sound awesome. Not really sure why the prices are higher with these premium pair of earbuds, I'm also very sure that sound great, but people ain't got that kind of money right now. People can hardly pay they're rent, plus I'd feel so guilty if I did buy these. It's the reason that Tozo, Earfuns, Edifiers plus many more that out sells all the high end /premiumsThanks, Keith,
If I were you. I'd take a look at the "Nothing" Ear 1"". Wonderful sound for a 1 speaker system 11mm. ANC, 4 hour per charge w/ANC. For around $99.00 US.
so you are saying everybodys broke, and cant pay their rent right now? lmao...im fixing to buy a dozen pairs , and wont feel a bit guilty at all.... your post cracks me up man......
,@@nodoubt46able Glad u got a good 🤣🤣, and yes sadly most people are struggling right now. But anywho this was only my opinion dude, lighten up, but I did like your comment 😁✌.
I guess the moral to the short story is:
You can really stretch a dollar out there. Just look for the right tools to get the job done.
@@Hausponce Totally agree dude, like yeah a 11mm+ driver is a must for me now cause I'm a basshead 😂 and I'm crazy in love with sub-bass. May I ask which EQ is your go to? Other than the earbud Apps, I have poweramp EQ and Wavelet and Eqfy.
Awesome review
is it worth it to upgrade my galaxy buds pro to those earbuds if i only use Spotify to listen to music? i listen to music on the very high preset (320kbps)
I personally think it's worth the upgrade
@OfficialGamesky the audio quality from spotify wouldnt be the bottleneck?
I'm sorry but can anything really beat the Lypertek Z7 now that they are 70 bucks!!! I mean, premium audio doesn't get that cheap... Perfect example with these - Are they really worth almost 3 times more? Is the audio and practical use 3x better??? Idk man.
Lypertek Z7's are out of stock, unfortunately. I had never even heard of them until your comment.
Thanks!
Thank you!
These or the Beoplay EX?
That's a no go for me, there are too many really good inexpensive earbuds for 50 bucks an under to ever spend more than 200. And I have $350 gaming headset I have Bose. I have Samsung's and the rest. Still going with inexpensive earbuds for my phone
You wasted your money on a $350 gaming headset. The sound latency on a bluetooth headphone and gaming headphones are very minimal if you are using bluetooth 5.0 and up.
@@MsEddiepark great, thanks for your advice
