It’s true that makeup not just to make yourself look and feel good, but also how you want to be perceived to others. But the fun thing about being girls, since beauty standards keep on changing generation by generation, is that we can mix and match. Some days this outfit that I’m wearing is cozy so I don’t want to wear makeup, while this certain outfit looks good with this color palette. At the end of days, it’s all about you being you and how you feel comfortable in your skin, with or without makeup. People will keep on judging anyway, some may like it some may hate it.

I think there’s mainly 3 reasons why girls wear makeup and it varies from person to person. Firstly would be that they view makeup as an art and an outlet to express themselves . Secondly to look good for others such as going to interviews etc. Lastly would be to feel confident. Personally my reasoning would fall under the “to look confident” as i am insecure of my dark eye circles and feel more bold to walk around and talk to others when it is concealed and i wear it even though i work in an all women environment . So I really don’t think its fair to generalise and say that ALL women are lying and “want to look good for men only”.
The reason why guys prefer natural is cause when u are doing the thing and you see them bare face where got feel liao cause cant expect them to wear make up at home or somewhere else
the true secret - You will only know this when you are older. (subjective to each person what older is to them). When u are mature, u become confident, and you dont feel you need to validate yourself to others. It can come in the form of own beauty, performance at work or social environment.
