I've met Vettel before and he's a nice bloke, he never fails to meet fans when he can and take some time to talk to you if time allows even as a 3 times WDC. Definitely a very exceptional driver. Look at how he brought Red Bull to different level. And I thought it's not fair just to think it's because of the car. Vettel plays a huge part in the development of the car. Kudos to Vettel. Well deserved champion.
7:47 Seb was about to fall asleep , me as well , there,s so much more cool stuff to ask them than the very same questions they get asked everyday , anybody can be a reporter or periodist I guess
Not to mention every time Vettel would gain a few positions on leads, the match restarted with safety car. It happened like 3 times, where Vettel got pushed back to last position again. But he STILL smashed laps and finished in 3rd position. Boy has he being setting records on that track since its inception back in 2009. It's like that track was MADE for him!
I don't like him, but I have to admit, he is great! He won a race in only his second season in F1! With Toro Rosso! His teammate Bourdais was 18th! And in the 2012 Brazil GP he also showed how good of a driver he is.
You sir have made one of the most intellectual observations i've heard from anybody online who talks about F1, teams and drivers. Good to hear somebody with at least half a brain speaking up.
I like how when Sebastian would talk about the 2014 car and simulation Christian would tap the table to pretty much say to Seb to not tell important information to them
Vettel hasnt had to challenge anyone because he is much better then everyone, senna would have some trouble and then come back, but Vettel would dominate the entire race
That is true... Schumacher didn't come back because of racing itself, but because of former glory and fame. He thought he will leave the second time with the bang, but didn't quite make it.
What "I try to say" is that the RB6 was the quickest car in 2010 and if it wasn't for some relieability problems and Vettel's mistakes it would've have been another season of Red Bull domination. Btw, Vettel's Toro Rosso was a Newey-build car aswell, look it up if you don't believe me. It was a copy of all the Red Bull cars, with the difference that TR were using the more powerful Ferrari engines - that's also why the STR3 was quicker than the RB4. That is the problem.
Haters are going to hate. There will always be people who will say a driver and or team is cheating when they are dominating. It's a different story when your favorite driver is winning. For the fans 20 years ago, sorry if you think F1 is going down hill. That's too bad because F1 will never be what it used to be including all motorsport series. My $.02 is they no longer understand the technology. I've been a fan since the mid 90s and for me last year was exciting and even better this year.
People don't like Seb cause he wins all the time. And when he's winning, their favorite drivers can't. Let them hate, Vettel fans will just stand back and laugh at their frustration.
what do you try to say? Maybe that Senna, Mansell, Lauda and so on are not great because they won all their CS's with the best car? In 2008, Vettel had more points with Toro Rosso than his teammate and both Red Bull drivers (with a Newey car) all together. Is it so difficult to accept that Vettel is a great driver? What the hell is the problem?
I think Schumacher is a good example of that practise, his last year or two of racing, before retireing (again) last year. I still don't know if he had crappy car or was he the crappy part in that car?
Great interview, but you guys really fudged up the video and sound. Can barely hear the dialog, frame is constantly in and out of focus....I would expect you to be a bit more prepared for the interview of that caliber.
His pole in Monaco and third in Valencia showed hat the car was crappy, plus you could clearly see how poorly it handled in onboard views. I admit that he made rookie mistakes in those years but I put it down to him being really unsatisfied with the car. A happy driver is a fast and reliable driver.
I don't really know what happened with F1... When Schumacher was in Ferrari in his last few good years, he was the best and couldn't be stopped, but still, F1 was interesting to watch and I was glued to the TV for every race. It's now similar with Vettel, nobody can stop him, but I lost interest in F1, don't know why. I hope things will change soon.
To be fair, a 16 min. interview with boring ass interviewers asking the same questions both Vettel & Horner probably already answered hundreds of times just in the past few days doesn't exactly help making an interview exciting. And I don't see how either of them is being pretentious or snobish at all. Vettel is probably one of the coolest, most honest and down to earth guys in the entire Formula 1.
Wow I can't believe how many people hate on Vettel, he is the best driver in F1. The cars are all the same, some teams tune them better than others!! It's not like he is driving F1 and others are driving SUV's
vettel won the 2008 italian grand prix in a toro rosso! (remember that hamilton n massa wer fighting for the championship that season, n wer mighty fast!)
You guys should have asked more personal questions.. We get the same questions and answers every interview... Ask them wjat car thet like or something like that.
Infiniti is just a sponsor. Renault supplies the engine. The same goes for Lotus. Vettel doesn't need a car named after him to be great. Quite sad that you think Vettel is below Alonso because of a car's name...
I'm sorry, but I think you are offending great F1 drivers if you say Vettel is the best driver. He is lucky to be sitting in a Red Bull car. Schumacher was the best driver, I'm not Raikonen fan, but Raikonen is great driver. Also Hamilton and Alonzo, both great drivers with passion. Vettel doesn't have that passion. We can argue about that forever... lets just wait for 2016 when he ends the contract with Red Bull, we'll see how that goes then. I think he will be quickly forgotten then.
No he didn't not in 2010 and for 90% of the year last year Fernando was leading the points and I would say up until the last 4-5 races Mclaren had the best car last year
I never saw this interviewer again, GOOD..! what a joke. Besides that, Vettel was making millions when he did go from Red Bull to Ferrari to get World champion again. Well, now Red Bull has Verstappen and Riciardo and for sure not a bad car in 2017. I only hope the "baby phone" is out of order, for him i mean. Give Verstappen a finger, he will take your hand. That guy can drive at any conditions, not many can say that....
Not exactly... Hamilton at least has difference with the other ones cause he WANTS the old style...the others NOT...plus Michael Schu who said ''IM NOT GET INTO THAT CAR AGAIN''(The 90s car!) So...change your mind. As i said...the gap is huge old-new
I cant drive a F1 car but that doesnt mean a have no opinion on F1 drivers. So go ahead.Go to an old F1 race video and speak about ''vetteliko''..anything. Talk about the comparison between F1 2010+ and 1980+ cars. The stupid rules of today.(Not to mention Vetteliko's words on Lewis Hamilton after surpasses him...about DRS.) Obviously the car plays a big part in vettels success but if it was all down to the car then mark webber would've won a championship by now. Wether you like it or not you kind of have to see how vettel does know how to make the best out of his car. He also won his first race with torro rosso not red bull which proves that he has skills in an f1 car, torro roso has never been the greatest team yet with them he became the youngest in f1history to win 1st place.
Regarding Webber: Webber is average at best. He had his good years from 2002-2010, but in general he has never been the same calibre as the likes of Alonso, Hamilton or Vettel. Put one of these guys in one team with Vettel to see if he's really the best. Not a 35 year old mediocre australian who's way past his prime and clear number 2 at that.
So wait, let me get this straight: His RB6 (2010 car) which made Red Bull win 9 races (more than any other team) and achieve 15 (!!) Pole-Positions was not - I'm sorry - was DEFINITELY not the best car on the grid that particular year? LMFAOROFL!
I can't wait for next season or season after that, when (if) Vettel will leave Red Bull and switch to another team. I wonder how good he will be then :) He is just lucky that Red Bull is the best car in the last few years. Ferrari said in the begining of season that they don't have competitive car and wont be able to do much this year. I don't know what McLaren is doing... Vettel is good in Red Bull, but car is doing most of the work, not his skills.
I'm Hamilton fan since he started, I think he is one of the few with real passion and healthy agression which makes Formula 1 racing interesting. Vettel is crappy driver, his pimped up Red Bull is the only thing saving him :) You can tell most of the time, when someoen is close behind him and he makes lots of errors Do you remember the Schumacher days and all the accidents and crashes? Not deadly or dangerous, but exciting and fun crashes when they were actually competing on the track.
Ever see him (Seb) when things don't go his way? Completely bratty, where's the composure of a true champion. Good driver? yes....great driver? not quite.
you really dont know what your talking about... how can you have an opinion about something that you can't even do yourself? that like saying: yeaa playing golf is soo easy. while i have never played golf. if u put hamilton/vettel/alonso in an 1980 F1 car and give them a couple of weeks to adapt they will be able to compete with the drivers back then.
Lets take Schumacher for example... when he was in Benetton, he was incredible. When he was in Ferrari, he was incredible. Last few years in Mercedes doesn't count. Your facts might be correct about 2010, but I highly doubt Vettel would be any good in other teams. When Red Bull ends the contract, that will also be the end of Vettels victories. The interview was interesting but GOD the sound was annoying. Is that room on a space ship? Directly above a freight train? Please pay attention to how things sound in the future. (pre-cool the room and shut that air handler off next time.) Simply bush-league.
Christian is hard to listen to you! Of course in the beginning of the season all of the teams accept some laws and now is easy to talk against mercedes and pirelli but those same laws that you accept says that is forbidden, unless all the teams in f1 accept, to have some majority changes on tyres but you keep talking and pressing FIA to change that! So what about that?
lol...since when is webber any worse at all let alone 'so much worse than vettel'. and dont come back with "oh but 3 drivers championships says so". because dude..its been very clear that webber was never going to win a championship with red bull..seb was is and will be the FAVORED and golden boy of RBR....
what a bullshit lol. Look how many times Massa was faster than Alonso in the past 10 races, look at Hamilton vs Rosberg. Fact is: Vettel is part of the Red Bull team and they are just the best. A good driver with a bad car can't win the CS, also a good car with a bad driver can't win the CS. It's always Car & Driver together!
I'll repeat myself since you ignored it: When Vettel won his first championship in 2010, the Red Bull was definitely NOT the best car that season. Saying that his car is doing the work and not his skills is complete bullshit. And another thing you just ignored: If the car is doing all the work, why is Mark Webber, one of the better drivers in F1 so much worse than Vettel? Stop talking shit. Even Vettel's competitors like Hamilton or Alonso acknowledge that Vettel is an incredible driver.
Even the Jeremy Clarkson said it himself on Top Gear this week... you put Vettel in Marutia in he would come last to finish. Vettel sucks, his car is only thing saving him. And that's the end of it, I'm not talking about this again, I've answered too many stupid comments so far anyway.
hamilton is better than vettel?? everyone conveniently ignores the fact that even hamilton has always had a fast car with him..yet he could produce only 1 world championship (wch according to me is supposd to be massa's)..hamilton is a good driver, fast as well...but he is nt better than vettel..in the current paddock...only raikkonen and alonso are better than vettel
Maybe its just me but since I am hearing Sebastian for 1st time he seems totally unattached to team. I assume he just jumps in vehicle, finish the race & go home. Those Germans are really cold LOL
He's a crappy driver and it's just his red bull that's saving him? Then why in the world is Mark Webber, who's one of the best drivers in F1 and drives the exact same car as Vettel, so much worse than Vettel? And how is Red Bull cheating? Give me an explanation. Just because they possibly have the best car this year doesn't mean they're cheating. Also, when Vettel won his first championship in 2010 the Red Bull wasn't the best car at all that year.
I've met Vettel before and he's a nice bloke, he never fails to meet fans when he can and take some time to talk to you if time allows even as a 3 times WDC. Definitely a very exceptional driver. 7:47 Seb was about to fall asleep , me as well , there,s so much more cool stuff to ask them than the very same questions they get asked everyday , anybody can be a reporter or periodist I guess
This is the attitude that Sebastian needs to take back. It's full of confidence and a bit of arrogance but it is a winner's attitude
Not to mention every time Vettel would gain a few positions on leads, the match restarted with safety car. It happened like 3 times, where Vettel got pushed back to last position again. One of the all time greats. Great pairing these two 👍
2:31 "well basically we don't manage them" -Christian Horner
LOL!
few years later, about his donkeys...
You sir have made one of the most intellectual observations i've heard from anybody online who talks about F1, teams and drivers. Good to hear somebody with at least half a brain speaking up.
I like how when Sebastian would talk about the 2014 car and simulation Christian would tap the table to pretty much say to Seb to not tell important information to them
how nicely they lined up the red bull cans and caps facing the cameras...
Err... Abu Dhabi 2012... finishing 3rd after starting from the pit lane.
Just an example...
Vettel hasnt had to challenge anyone because he is much better then everyone, senna would have some trouble and then come back, but Vettel would dominate the entire race
Then Ricciardo came and ruined Vettel in 2014
lol so the interviewers don't know F1
they know F2 is twice as good, they calculated that
Cool dude seems super modest
That is true... Schumacher didn't come back because of racing itself, but because of former glory and fame. He thought he will leave the second time with the bang, but didn't quite make it.
Again, hate to say it, as I don't personally like him, but he is the best F1 driver today. Very quick and very talented!
He is a team player. United we stand, divided we fall. Mark couldn't live up to the standards of a very high level group.
What "I try to say" is that the RB6 was the quickest car in 2010 and if it wasn't for some relieability problems and Vettel's mistakes it would've have been another season of Red Bull domination.

Sebastian was at a Rock Concert the night before... you can tell.
I don't think northern America appreciates F1 as much as they should. Its king of all motor sports and probably richest and most glamorous sport ever
As much as I hate to admit it, I too must agree with you.
People don't like Seb cause he wins all the time. And when he's winning, their favorite drivers can't. Let them hate, Vettel fans will just stand back and laugh at their frustration.
This interview seems really awkward for Seb and Christian. Not very intuitive questions.
what do you try to say? Maybe that Senna, Mansell, Lauda and so on are not great because they won all their CS's with the best car? Brazil 2012. He sure didn't crack there, now did he.
His pole in Monaco and third in Valencia showed hat the car was crappy, plus you could clearly see how poorly it handled in onboard views. Guys his name is Sebastian veTTel not veddl
good interview, good questions and good answers. also i LOVE vettel!
vettel won the 2008 italian grand prix in a toro rosso! (remember that hamilton n massa wer fighting for the championship that season, n wer mighty fast!)
So that must be the reason he was seen by JF Musial in Detroit today.
Can someone make this video playable in any country?
You guys should have asked more personal questions.. We get the same questions and answers every interview... Ask them wjat car thet like or something like that.
Just want to say that Seb's collar didn't annoy me one bit.
The mercs were shit last year but Ross has done some magic this year, Redbull will dominate again though
The mercs are fast as hell . The Ferrari's are a little crap this year .. the lotus are fast aswell . Red bull is king this year
Red Bull was the best car 2010, and yet alonso, the best driver, only lost out
DOWNHILL? Dude...you obviously don't watch it, because last two seasons had more action in them than any in last 15 years.
the Infiniti logo didn't annoy me one bit either
christian gives sebastian his horn.
Infiniti is just a sponsor. Renault supplies the engine. The same goes for Lotus. Vettel doesn't need a car named after him to be great. Quite sad that you think Vettel is below Alonso because of a car's name...
Haha ok you are right, we´ll see in 2016 when Vettel keeps winning and winning
:/
you can argue about Alonso or Hamilton would do better in Marussia;
you can not argue about Alonso or Hamilton would do much better in Marussia.
The fact is he is going to Ferrari in 2016 so choose your side people vettel or Redbull
Red Bull doesn't dominate, Vettel dominates.
Christian didn't say much. Vettel always seems like a nice bloke, but we know he has a different side.
The amount of hate in this comment section is pathetic!
No he didn't not in 2010 and for 90% of the year last year Fernando was leading the points and I would say up until the last 4-5 races Mclaren had the best car last year
How good is Vettel? Schumacher, Clark, Senna, Fangio and Prost!
To be fair Red Bull in 2010 was the fastest car, but not the best since it kept breaking down.
I know what you are saying, but I bet Alonso or Hamilton would do much better in Marusia then Vettel. But we can argue about that forever...
ΑΥΕ..
Τhats why F1 today is......B O R I N G
I never saw this interviewer again, GOOD..! what a joke. Besides that, Vettel was making millions when he did go from Red Bull to Ferrari to get World champion again. Never been this early
I cant drive a F1 car but that doesnt mean a have no opinion on F1 drivers.
So go ahead.Go to an old F1 race video and speak about ''vetteliko''..anything.
Talk about the comparison between F1 2010+ and 1980+ cars.

Put Vettel on a 1986 car and see.
There is no comparison of 1980 and 2000.

How can a single driver make watching Formula 1 as a whole boring?
Horrendous audio. Please use proper mic'ing.
Regarding Webber: Webber is average at best. He had his good years from 2002-2010, but in general he has never been the same calibre as the likes of Alonso, Hamilton or Vettel. lucky you !

So wait, let me get this straight: His RB6 (2010 car) which made Red Bull win 9 races (more than any other team) and achieve 15 (!!) Pole-Positions was not - I'm sorry - was DEFINITELY not the best car on the grid that particular year?
LMFAOROFL!
This is such amatuer production quality. Seems as If even I could've done a better job with the interview
And finishing in front of... Webber haha
Jealousy is never pretty.
I can't wait for next season or season after that, when (if) Vettel will leave Red Bull and switch to another team. Yeah and you drive better than him. Driving an F1 car fast is not an easy thing.
Lmao
So, the question is.... DO YOU want to grab my package?
How old r u JUNIOR??????
F1 is now on the DOWNHILL....
And im not the only one who said that.....
csb
The interview was interesting but GOD the sound was annoying. Is that room on a space ship? Directly above a freight train? Please pay attention to how things sound in the future. (pre-cool the room and shut that air handler off next time.)
Simply bush-league.
Oh yes? Care to explain that? It's easy to say I'm full of shit, explain what you mean.
Are you on drugs ? Webber ignored backing off ? Sorry but Vettel is the one that ignores it. Multi 21 spring to mind ??
YOU "DO" TO! AND YOU ARE "NOT" A FORMULA ONE RACING CAR DRIVER! LIKE SEBASTIAN VETTEL IS!

Loser? 3 world championships by the age of 25. Are people crazy?
