one of the items is perceiving a player in a small sample size is a maniac. They may be just be getting hit with the deck.

I watched this video to prepare for the maniacs who inhabit the weekend night games I've played. Sure enough, an absolutely insane player I've met before was there. I implemented a few of the simple tactics discussed here and allowed the agrodonk to shove his stack in on me 4 times with the absolute worst of it. 3 of the 4 shoves were on the turn btw. Sadly, he hit his 1 out the 1st time, 1 of 7 outs the 2nd and 1 of 8 outs the 3rd time. Even with those 3 beats, I managed to "only lose" about half a buyin for the night. If 3 of 4 of those hands went my way instead of his, it would have been a rather profitable night. The strategy works, whether the deck cooperates or not. Thanks Jonathan!

Print indeed - I went back to the same game and walked away over 5 buy-ins up in 6 hours. Hey, if people are willing to put their stacks at risk with these ranges, who am I to say no? I will say that its a lot different playing deeper stacked than it is when you are 100BB effective or less. Your advice has helped a ton with my shallower stacked play in terms of just being willing to get it in.

He wouldn't be a maniac if he checks, would he? The maniacs I play against, especially from the east, don't check very often. Everything is a raise, that's what defines them as a maniac, isn't it?

This is great. Only question is about flatting the offsuit broadway hands. I've heard some people say never call with these hands vs 3-bets, and others say what you say that you can flat these vs maniacs.

    Awesome work, guys!
Quick question: why are we folding 76s on the river and calling with our top pair combos if a double pair is better than the top pair? Wouldn t be more profitable to put into our junk range our worst remainning hands?
Thank you very much! You are amazing!

The board has a pair of 2s on it, so KJ is actually two pair, Jacks and 2s, which beats the two pair with 76.

why fold the better hand(7-6s) but call the single pairs?
plus 7-6 are blockers from opponent having a set of 6 or 7, J-6, J-7.

At the micro level under $5.00 buyin online, Maniacs NEVER check - always DONK lead if playing post flop. They seldom play post flop - 75% of hands they play are preflop shoves or calls and insta-donk flop shoves. The definition used as a maniac in this video is more like a loose aggressive player.

What's the logic on weaker (blue) hands being your 4! and stronger (green) being your raise/call? Is this to play post flop for more value, and if you get caught with the weaker hands at least you have a fighting chance?
