To be fair, it's actually a really common mind trick You have someone spell yes, Y E S. Then spell E Y E S. What does that say? And 90% of people will say E-yes, or aye-ess, and blank out on it being eyes. Try it on someone, its great. It might have glitched Arin out along those lines.

I love how dumb arin can be, and you could just like write him off as a dumb guy but then I'm like, " He's from a disadvantaged background (whatever that even means anymore idk) who taught himself animation and 'content" creation when that didn't have a name and made his own company and married his childhood sweetheart (idk why that feels important to me) and didn't need formal education to get permission to do it."

People love to call Arin stupid because of how he presents himself on Game Grumps. But the thing is, that's a bit. Arin's entire comedy shtick is acting like the least competent human being alive. And that goes back to well before Game Grumps even started - he told a story in a Jon-era episode about a time when he deliberately acted like an idiot in front of a crowd of people playing Super Mario Bros., then proceeded to speedrun it all the way to the end, call it stupid, and storm off in a fake huff. Arin has always gotten laughs by pretending to be a moron. But when the grumping is done, he's a very focused, motivated, and sensitive guy. You think Dan would be his friend if he wasn't? You think Suzy would be his wife if he wasn't? Arin may have his detractors, but that's just because the joke is going miles over their heads 🙂

My favorite parts of GG animations is when they add a scenario that you weren’t expecting but still goes with what they’re saying. (ex: lady getting popcorn, turtle flipping them off)
They’re using discord and arin is the one actually recording, so what we see of Dan here, is what arin is seeing. And before you say anything about the audio quality of his mic, he could use something like audacity to record the audio and sent it to him for a more clear crisp sound.
Portal World I think it’s still pretty likely that Dan doesn’t have a set up or at least not a good one. Who knew they would have to film videos with face cam and the stuff in the office was probably not built to be taken outside. Arin already had a good camera he could use ahead of time, but did Dan have one?

I was a week short of 35 years old (i.e. today) when I realized that the Sonic the Hedgehog character Miles Prower was a PUN ON THE TERM MILES PER HOUR. And I LOVE PUNS. Arin's "eye" thing is likely an audio processing issue. I have the same thing. Letters that sound similar like "s" and "c" I will mix around when spelling things aloud. Spelling bees were hell. And I have a degree in English.

I was a week short of 35 years old (i.e. today) when I realized that the Sonic the Hedgehog character Miles Prower was a PUN ON THE TERM MILES PER HOUR. And I LOVE PUNS. I remember Arin spelling the word "key" as "KEE-EE-EE", it was the funniest shit ever. I don't remember in which episode it was, just remember that it was in one of the zelda games too.
Arin's "eye" thing is likely an audio processing issue. I have the same thing. Letters that sound similar like "s" and "c" I will mix around when spelling things aloud.
Spelling bees were hell.
