Changing the format let them change their "bit formula" since now they could milk a bit for 30 min as their episodes are longer, or spend 40 minutes reading Sonic fanfiction. If they were to use the same joke, for 30 minutes back in the day meant spending an entire WEEK hearing the same bit. Changing the video release formula intrinsically meant that their humour had to change to accommodate their new format. inb4 wow you must be fun at parties comments XD
